Completion #104 :achievement:

This was a pretty good little game with a cool vibe and atmosphere. Puzzles were good, and I liked the shadow gameplay mechanic. Controls and camera were a bit wobbly at times, making things a bit harder than they should be in certain segments. Overall though a good game!

Yeah, I’ve had it forever in the backlog (this one on PC though, blergh) and then it shows up on Game Pass heh. I buy fewer games nowadays lol.

But yes, you should play it. I thought it was a cool little game with good puzzles.

Wanted to make completion #50 something special for me and I decided to finally go and mop up Halo 5 with some friends. I put many, many hours into the game and figured it be a fitting game for the big 50 haha. I enjoyed going back and replaying the story again after 7 years, it has its flaws and isn’t one of the best stories in Halo but it’s still decent and I had some good laughs with friends many times through our achievement hunting and I’m glad I choose this as my 50th completion, it just felt right to me.

Ho. Ly. Crap. This game was not good. It might have been tolerable if the screen wasn’t pitch black the entire time, but there were no brightness settings. It might have had okay controls if I could invert the Y axis, but there were no control settings. Overall it’s not a game that I can recommend to anyone outside of achievement hunters because there’s nothing available in this game that isn’t done better in dozens of other games, including some other shitty achievement-hunter-only games.

No invert Y is an instant uninstall for me. Thanks for the heads up, lol.

Whenever this happens to me, I just edit my controller profile to invert the Y axis. It’s annoying having to to set it back again, but it’s a definite workaround.

No problem, those of us that use the correct controls have to stick together, right?

I always forget that that’s a thing. Oh well, maybe it’ll be something I remember next time (unlikely).

I just finished AC3 on backwards compatibility for some online achievements before the servers close this week. This game is such a overloaded mess and buckles every 5 minutes under the weight of all these features. No wonder i stopped playing it years ago. I also like how it rubs in its messieness every step of the way by giving me totally janky secondary objectives and then displays my failures to complete them in unmissable red letters. Thanks, game!

This still stings honestly. What a cool premise and lead character spoiled by a mess of a game that does everything possible to prevent you from just playing it and having fun. It’s hard to believe that it was even made by the same people who made Assassin’s Creed II. The games are opposites of each other.
