I’ve never understood that sort of thing. Yeah, I could load up my alt (which I currently only use if I need two players to get an achievement and I want to boost it, like getting the one online achievement in XCOM 2 before servers disappear) and burn through a ton of those easy games that I have, but…why? I care about my main gamertag, not that alt one that has a total of like 3 hours played ever.
Right, like congrats you topped the leaderboard, but it was with an anonymous account with no reputation, no future, and no one knows it was you… what was the point?
Yeah I really don’t get it… I like hunting achievements, but that is on my profile and I don’t even pad it much with crap games. Doing that on an alt? Just…why?
@Shadowgasm time for a tie breaker?
The votes are in and FAR: Changing Tides is our Gamepass Game of the month for March! I actually had to cast my vote as the tiebreaker, so if you guys hate the game, blame me.
You voted for the wrong game!!
Does anyone know if I need to play the first FAR game before playing this one? Not sure how story heavy the games are.
I think it’s set in the same world, but I don’t think you have to have played the first one. I didn’t even know there was a first one until you mentioned it.
The devs of the game call it a “Companion” game to the first, so I don’t think there’s a continuation of a story.
Probably some deep rooted obsession with dopamine hits.
Genesis Noir got a title update (free) for additional 210 gamerscore. 3 new chapters, a bit more of the same. If you liked the game try it out, nothing missable, 1 hour tops.
Just dropped in to say I started Race With Ryan.
I was expecting an arcade racer… which it is, but boy do I wish I hadn’t started this.
Yeah, as soon as the live action little boy started showing up I was like uh… what is this game?
Completion #29: Unpacking
I gotta say Unpacking really surprised me. I enjoyed this game in more ways then I though I would. The gameplay itself was super chill and honestly hit that satisfying feeling every time I’d finish unpacking each level, and I liked how the game was following the life story of, what I’m assuming is the game dev, as she moved from each around in life from her childhood home all the way up to current times. It was just interesting to me all around.
Completion #30: The Pedestrian
This game is the complete opposite of how I felt with Unpacking funny enough. The game was fun for the first hour or so but started to feel really tedious after that and it become more of a chore to finish as time went on. I’m no puzzle game expert but I do enjoy a good puzzle game, this did not feel like a good puzzle game to me personally. Any game that starts to feel like a chore is failing at what a game is meant to be in my eyes, a fun past time, and The Pedestrian is just that, a chore to complete. I’d only recommend this as a quick completion game and honesty I’m having a hard time at that since a majority of the playthrough for me was a drag.
The game is good and well made but the full 1000gs is a real grindfest.
Yeah, I used the “cheat” where you just have to get 93k coins, then you can buy everything in one category, delete your local save (without exiting the game), and then when you load it back up you’ll still have the achievements and your 93k. I got to 93k legit the first time, exited so my save could sync, and when I came back later I only had 64k, so I absolutely used an auto-clicker on PC to get back over 93k. If I’d had to legit get the ~276k I wouldn’t have done it, that’s for sure.
IT. IS. DONE. Time to go do some easier games. I could use something more relaxing…
Oh… and milestones I guess! haha
So did anyone else notice that Square Enix is letting Platinum Games develop DioField Chronicle?
Congrats! It’s a hell of a completion!
I did see that. I honestly don’t even care who’s developing it, I’m just glad it’s coming out for Xbox too!
