Holy crap this game was fantastic. Controls could be a little clunky at times, but I enjoyed almost every single second of the base game and all three DLCs (other than needing to fight shadows while turning a wheel, iykyk). Great game, great story, great level design (which gave me serious Spirited Away vibes). Highly recommended.

Completion #88: The Medium :achievement:

This was much better than I had gotten the impression of beforehand. I enjoyed the setting, especially the old “behind the Iron Curtain” things and the creepy environments. Puzzles was decent albeit not very hard, the gameplay was ok and the dual worlds worked well. The sadness (pun intended) and disturbing aspects of the story was great, I…really liked it.

I also hit my 7000th achievement while finishing this game. Yay, milestone!

Finally went back and finished up Knights and Bikes. It was a cute game that I mostly enjoyed, though it definitely went on a bit longer than I would have liked. Still one I’d recommend if you’re a Double Fine fan, though, since it’s definitely their brand of weird :slight_smile:

Terrible animation (character and facial), terrible dialog, voice acting is bit off-putting. The battle system seems ok, but just has a slow and clunky feeling to it. Too early to really judge the story, but it’s not off to a great start.

I played the first part of the game this morning (up to where it gets off rails I think). It is definitely low budget, but I think it has a certain charm to it. Graphics wise it is probably similar to a Playstation 2 or 3 RPG. (perfectly serviceable 3D graphics, but not “pretty” in any way.)

I like the battle system so far. The story is interesting, but definitely chock full of RPG tropes in the first hour.

Anyone notice that Microsoft added a comma in between higher gamerscores? Instead of having 100000 gamerscore it now looks like “100,000”

Achievements or not, that was a sweet campaign. Remedy knows what they’re doing, even if they’re tasked with doing essentially a Call of Duty-esque campaign for a janky F2P Asian shooter.
