I donāt know how you made it to 705gs on that one. I tried really hard before my work schedule punched me in the mouth. Even without work, I donāt know if I would have been able to endure that long though.
Yeah, it wasā¦not great, but FairyEmpire and I have been so close, so I really wanted those 100 points! I canāt imagine going for the 1000 since you need to get all four characters up to level 20, and that sounds terrible.
Totally understandable. I ended up finishing the game and then replayed a couple of levels to get some extra achievements, but then I stopped.
One thing to keep in mind for anyone if you do play it is thereās a way to cheat the loot system. If you start up a mission, like the very first mission after the training mission, and set the difficulty to level 6 you can go through and loot as many chests as you can (I believe there are three that you can get without having to complete a combat). Then you can die and return to the hub world where you can set the mission to the same one again, loot the chests, then die. Keep doing that for as long as you want, and when youāre done play that same mission but on the lowest difficulty. As long as you didnāt play any other boards in between (or maybe even if you did) when you complete it on the lowest difficulty youāll still get the gear you looted on the highest difficulty. There was a point where I got stuck for a bit, but after doing this I was able to breeze past that area easily enough.
Itās not even that itās a bad game, itās that itās a very rough game that doesnāt have any soul, which makes it really hard to overlook the roughness. Unless youāre a huge Forgotten Realms fan, apparently. Iāve heard they really enjoy the game.
Has anyone else tried out Flight Simulator yet? If so, how are you liking it?
Iāve put in about 10 hours so far and Iām enjoying it a lot more than I expected, though Iāve run into a handful of bugs that can make things very frustrating (plane wonāt taxi unless engines are on at least 25%, and then it shoots up to 30+ knots very fast; rudder stops working; guage that shows what angle Iām turning at stops working; plane wants to fly at an incredibly steep angle, so steep I need to set the trim to an offset of 35 just to keep flying straight). Even with those though I can see it being a game I come back to when I just want to relax for a while, though I do hope they fix some of that stuff.
Also, yes, one of the first things I did was find my house and crash into it
I tried it last year on my laptop, that was not a very good experince. Much better now on Xbox, but yeah there are some issues, bugs and i also had a couple crashes. Did the flying tutorials, a couple of spotlights, went to Lake Garda and the Dolomites, on a safari, Mekka, my parents house and my house and crashed into my place of work. 10/10.
This will probably replace Forza Horizon 4 as my go to chill game. Achievements could be a bit less serious and grindy though.
Not Sure if anyone saw this. If you look in this article sony is putting in a trophy tracker, I know xbox also has one but one thing I give sony credit for is the continued support for trophies. They seem like an afterthought for xbox now which sucks because just like everyone here I love achievementās but I wish microsoft updated the system.
Yeah, I had a repeatable crash too when I saved a flight in the middle and then tried to come back to it later (since the game doesnāt have Quick Resume). It would appear to load fine each time and then right as I would go to actually start flying it would just kick me back to the dashboard. Luckily I was only like 10 minutes into that flight so it wasnāt a huge deal, but thatās definitely not something I want to happen if I save during a long flight.
I used Quick Resume on Series X with Flight Sim without issues. I have more problems if i restart from dashboard and i press the start buttom immediate when the message appears - crashes every time.
Are you guys streaming your data, or are you playing in āOffline modeā? I went the streaming route. I played for a few minutes last night and flew around Mount Everest and was pretty amazed by it. I then tried to take off from a local airport but the game froze while loading, so I just went to bed.
i stream from the cloud. I only have the base game installed and all world updates, didnāt install the 56GB offline data (my SSD space is precious).
Everest looks not rocky enough sadly. Basically like all high mountains i have seen so far it needs updates because they smooth out terrain data too much. Worst offender so far is Tre Cime di Lavaredo. I have to fly over the Matterhorn later, someone said it is better realised.
Weird. Iāve switched between games a handful of times and MSFS has never quick resumed for me. Iāll try restarting my Xbox and see if that fixes it.
Iāve been streaming the data and the game is absolutely gorgeous. Itās crazy impressive what theyāve done, and especially to make it work so well on a console.
Iāve seen both that the offline data can be deleted without affecting the game (as long as youāre online, of course), but also that you should keep it there because it makes even the online mode look better. Iād love to free up that additional 56GB (especially since I downloaded ~30GB of free world updates) but I donāt know what effect that will actually have.
$50 of DLC and 75 hours later, Borderlands 3 is done. Got lucky a few times where certain achievements popped early. Got this super cool double barrel shotgun that one shot pretty much everything besides bosses and badasses.
