I’m slacking!
Yet again noticing some delay in the achievements. Been getting the notifications for the achievements 20 hours or so after the fact.
The time to overtake me at the top is now. I’ve spent the last 4 weeks working 12-15 hours days pretty much every day (including weekends), and that will only continue for the next 8-9 weeks. When I do get a couple of free hours to myself, I’ve been watching bad tv shows and generally don’t want to play anything.
that sounds horrible
It’s definitely stressful that’s for sure. The flip side is that I’ll get a few weeks off before I kind of have to do it again for 12-13 weeks (though hopefully not the 12-15 hour every day part). Then I’ll get probably a solid month or two off.
At a point where I may stop cause its starting to feel like gamer prison to me. I wouldn’t have much of a problem if they actually made us play through the entire game or if I got them for free like the YouTubers. I thought Ratalika was annoying at first but at least they have quirky games.
This is just further watering down of GS and achievements. Sucks. I honestly think they should have some sort of cap where small “meh-games” have a GS limit of something like 200 GS like the old arcade games.
Been playing Doki Doki Literature Club and aside from it being a very cool story, you can definitely speed run the achievements.
I would recommend a real play through first though as it’s a one-of-a-kind game (no spoilers, but don’t judge a book by its cover).
How do they handle some of the later-on game mechanic aspects? Like on the PC you had to delete certain file(s) in install directory to trigger some events.
The “plus!” versions of the game are ran in a fake OS where all those files exist. So when you hit “exit game” in the dating sim menu, you’re taken to the fake OS menu. There are emails from a company that seem to add a dimension to the story, but that could’ve been in the original.
It’s officially July and while I’m sure most of you are busy grinding away at Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance (or maybe not ), it’s time to choose our Gamepass game for July! Fortunately we have a couple of games to choose from early on, even if a few are games that have already been out for a while.
- Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
- Gang Beats
- Grounded (Now with Achievements!)
- Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars
- Wait to see what else comes in July

Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
Grounded (Now with Achievements, Nice!)
Wait to see what else comes in July
This poll will stay up for the next 48 hours so be sure to get your votes in!
As a reminder, a few games like Flight Simulator and The Ascent will be releasing at the end of July, so we’ll be rolling those into the games for August.
Also, you still have until the 18th to grind away at Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance, so happy hunting!
Did we ever settle on changing the scoring for the monthly game? There’s no way I’m going for the 1000 on DA for example, but If there’s some points to be had for less…
Not yet. I was going to sit down and try to figure out a plan but I’ve been stupidly busy with work the last couple of weeks. I’ll try to draft a proposal this weekend taking in some of the suggestions.
Aight, sounds good
Voted for Gang Beasts just because it has the lowest completion time and I don’t want to spend a good chunk of my month playing our Game Pass game again
Oh my God, I was not expecting this grind at the end of Scarlet Nexus.
I’ve done everything, but I’m now looking at hours of experience grinding.
Edit: Ok, I think I found an optimal way of grinding. It takes around 8~12 minutes to raise a level, and I need to level up 14 times. That’s… between two to three hours of mindless grinding.
Are you just grinding the final dungeon? I’m going to have to do it as well for that completion. I need 22 more levels…
Yep, people recommend to play through the “Sumeragi Tomb - 7. Memories of Impasse”.
But instead of going through the whole dungeon, I only do the first fight (many, many Sessioun Pounds – the selfdestructing Others – and two Winery Chinary). I activate Field Brain as soon as the fight starts so those selfdestructing enemies rack up the experience multiplier, and then both Winery Chinary give 20k XP each.
I then quit to another area and then return to that dungeon. This way I can immediately use the Field Brain refill item without having to wait for the cooldown and repeat the first fight again. It takes 3-4 fights to level up, which is roughly 8 minutes.
By the end of the game you should have lots of materials to keep crafting the Brain Field item!
I finished my first playthrough at level 60, and then my second playthrough at level… 64 or 66? Can’t remember
I see, that’ll be helpful. Thanks.
