Did you get the one in…January I think? Last one I got was in October… Sweden seems to be on a shitlist.
Yeah I got, October Jan and now May. Thats such a pain, DE still doesnt equal UK either so its really hit and miss everywhere.
Feels bad. I even combed through my huge backlog, installed games and planned out my hunting. I love these things… But nope, C-tier customer.
Its why I still get annoyed when people would say something like “Xbox isnt American centric” there are still so many places that feel less cared for compared to the US and the UK and though there isn’t a Sony Analogue to rewards its a USP that MS seem happy to not bring to certain countries.
C-tier is real
Yeah it’s really annoying. For being one of the biggest companies in the world, they kinda suck at being global.
And for every bit of “they have a massive warchest” or “7.5 billion is nothing to MS” if any company could afford to be more global its MS.
Completion #176: WWE 2K Battlegrounds
- Estimated Difficulty: 4/10
- Estimated Time: 8 hours
This one is way, way harder than what it looks. It is a quick completion – it took me only 7 hours. But it could have been way shorter if I didn’t die so much in the campaign. The final fights are insane and the CPU is always blocking you and striking back with unblockable attacks.
There is an achievement for winning a 30-men Royal Rumble that can also be frustrating since you can’t play on Easy.
I completed this way back when it was part of one of the free play weekends. The royal rumble achievement was certainly tricky. Congrats on the completion!
I have gotten something like 2 achievements this week. That’s when you know you are playing a damn fine game (Divinity: Original Sin 2). If you are into RPG’s (proper ones) this is a treat.
I get that! I’m taking my time with NieR: Replicant right now. Mainly planning on getting one achievement, then work on some of the grindier stuff, then repeat the next day.
Still not sure if I’m going for the 100% or not yet…
I have to get that some day, loved Automata!
Yo, this is wild.
Yeah, very strange line of events. At least he sees reason in the end and will fix the broken chievos with better requirements.
I’m glad the dev changed his mind on fixing broken achievements. His poetry on toilet paper line is great. Alot of the super easy games sell themselves short by having us play for 10 minutes. Yeah, we could play them more but there’s no incentive to. I think devs should look at the achievement lists from the 360 era for an easy 1k or for an recent example, Outriders. That’s an really easy list but it takes 20 hours and you experience the whole game. I do think its more of the YouTube comments achievement hunter audience, that really wants super easy games because they don’t want to try or put in the time required.
Let’s be honest the majority of indies that release on consoles aren’t good. Sure there’s some hidden gems but it’s so hard to find them because of the amount of games that are out there and it’s not slowing down. Game Pass helps by highlighting indie darlings or day 1 releases that look high quality. I buy alot of indie games but I’m only 1 guy and I don’t have unlimited money or time.
Are achievements wonky for anyone else on Xbox? Just got the notification and gamer score from an achievement unlocked last Tuesday.
Yesterday my achievement notifications on console were delayed but on pc and phone it was fine.
Exactly.
All devs have to do is stick with the traditional achievements list. Give us an achievement for completing each chapter, an achievement for completing the game (want to make it harder? make us complete the game on the hardest difficulty setting – but make the achievements stackable!), an achievement for finding collectibles, etc.
We don’t want to get all the achievements just by completing the first chapter, as well as we don’t want to do crazy speedruns or artificially mutilate ourselves by having to play without saving, having to use only one gun or kill 1 million enemies on a dead multiplayer.
It’s so, so easy to come up with a decent achievements list, and yet devs seem to go out of their ways to make things too hard or too easy for us.
Yep! I thought it was an Insider ring problem, but it seems to be a problem to everyone. The achievement notification pops straight away on my PC, while it takes almost a minute to appear on the Xbox.
Completion: Dragon Quest Builders 2
- Estimated Difficulty: 2/10
- Estimated Time: 60-80 hours
I really enjoyed this game, but it felt like they could have easily cut the story in half and focused more on the actual sandbox building portion of the game. It really felt like a grind and I kept saying “please, just end already” more times than I can remember.
Edit: I also ran into a nasty save bug around 3/4ths of the way through the story that made manually saving a 50/50 “will freeze game” proposition. So, about 5 hours of my playtime was spent redoing what I had already done. Good times…
