Update! Not much action here but a couple completions at least from the past week. We’re on the last month of this years competition, so not much time left to get some points on the board. 15th of December is the end date! Good luck ![]()

Finally managed to hit a Monday! Not a great week for backloggers it seems, but here’s the updated leaderboard:
The Leaderboard:
Total = 32.5
On a separate note, I’ve drastically slowed down my backlogging because I’ve been juggling some movies/shows in my backlog as well, and have been sucked back into Starfield and The Division (now that I’m in the endgame, I’m having a blast solo).
Now’s your chance, @Staffy ! ![]()

WTF? How is this even possible? lol
Bought Tales of Arise -1.
The Outer Worlds 2 +0
After close to 120 hours I finished The Outer Worlds 2 and this is easily my GotY. Obsidian has done it again, with a sequel that improves on everything from the first game.
The story is great and the new solar system, Arcadia, is a great setting. The new factions are well thought out and brought to life in a credible way, it ties in to- and expands on the existing lore in a very satisfying way. Both the main story and the side content is excellent with a lot of quests, choices and different ways to tackle them. The new factions and corporations feels distinct and well done and it all fits in very nicely into the world.
Companions are all good to great, has interesting quests and different personalities and priorities. For once I liked all of them and t hey are useful in combat too! They interact with you, the events and each other in a satisfying way, even though I wouldn’t have minded that to be even more prominent. I think it’s time Obsidian started to look at romance and deeper connections with the companions, like BG3.
The gameplay is also very good, with excellent gunplay. The variety of weapons is much improved and are great fun to use. They got rid of equipment degradation and encumberance, which were just busywork in the first game and this is so much better. The new healing system is also excellent. This makes for a very enjoyble experience. There are several cool gadgets to use as well, and you can tailor these things into something that fits your playstyle.
There is some great exploration to be had, even though that is the one part where Avowed has the edge over this game. The different planets and places you can explore are well crafted, with lots of things to do and find. Collectibles are fun to hunt for with both planet-specific ones and overarching ones, always something to be on the lookout for which also drives exploration. There’s some good environmental storytelling and lots of lore to read, listen to and discover. Don’t miss the radio channels! Some hilarious, and good, tunes to listen to.
I had so much fun with this game and can’t wait to get more when the expansions hit. This is leagues better than the first game, which was good, this game has a more serious tone whilst still retaining the absurdity of the first game. It’s so good!
Not a lot of action the past week but here’s an update! ![]()
The Leaderboard:
+1 Battlefield 1 (PS4)
Only played the campaign, which was good fun for the most part. Only a couple of slightly frustrating sections bringing it down a bit. (Like artillery strikes following you around with pinpoint accuracy.)
Not sure if I’ll manage another completion this year. But happy to crack the +20 mark. ![]()
(Now to not go wild in the Christmas sales and undo all the progress.)
Yeah it’s hard to pass up on the black Friday deals and everything else this time of year… I’m also not sure if I have time for any other completions either, I’ve been bouncing around between things. Was working on one but now I’m just in the mood for something else.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
I wasn’t planning on getting this yet since I’m neck deep into the first game, but when the price is just too good…

The plan was to maybe finish Mafia ToC this year, but all my game time goes to KCD…
And it’s okay.
