Great to have you back! Added you to the roster.
But maybe this is the year? You are always welcome.
It’s about the journey, not the destination, my friend.
Very much this.
What do you say, @Searsy82 ? Put you on the board for another year?
Hahaha. Never say never. Right now, my backlog is actually around 15 but half of it are expansions that I may/may not play. Since I don’t have any new releases coming up until Avowed, my backlog should be under 10 by the time I get to Avowed.
A priority list could make the backlog feel more manageable. Let me know if you need any tips for staying on track!
Did anyone get any good games for Christmas? With the money my dad gave me, I bought Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Switch and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on Xbox. I also picked up a new controller.
Nothing for Christmas. But I picked up Battlefield 1 (PS4) and Trover Saves the Universe (Steam) on sale, and Sir Whoopass and Call of Juarez Gunslinger on Prime/GOG for free.
Managed to resist the Dream Vapor controller for €40. (Got too many controllers already, even if they’re mostly “boring” black ones.)
No new games. Got a new Soundbar and one of those Xbox 8BitDo M30 controllers.
Yup, I got a few.
- Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
- Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Editon
- Rise of the Ronin
I will probably pick up a couple of games and dlc in the sales too. Decent haul so far though!
I really enjoyed Outlaws, which reminds me to go back and finish it! I have heard great things about Veil guard and Alan Wakes II, so I hope you enjoy them as well. I look forward to hearing your thoughts when you finish them!
Pretty good variety there Mort.
Dragon Age is a great game. really enjoyed it overall. Completed Ronin earlier in the year and thought it was really good but if you’re someone like me who already played and completed Tsushima, Ronin is simply years too late as Tsushima is simply superior in every way. I played Alan Wake 2 shortly after launch and retired the game as I just wasn’t into it. Hope you enjoy it though. As for Outlaws, it will probably be my second half of January game even though I may wait until after playing Avowed so I can have a shooter to play before going to AC Shadows. Haven’t decided yet.
Received a sizable bonus from work, so I snagged the following:
- STALKER 2
- The Thing Remastered
- SAO Fractured Daydream
- NCAA 2025
- Chaos Gate
- Ara
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Dungeons of Hinterberg
- Dragon Age Veilguard
I think Dragon Age will be the first one I dive into of these. AW2 will have to wait a bit since I think I want to play their other games first as they are connected, even if it’s subtle. I enjoy such things. The Deluxe Edition comes with AW Remastered too, so might do that one as well (I’ve played the 360-version). Outlaws I’ll probably wait until all the dlc are out, I think there’s more coming? Ronin I’ll fit in somewhere, not sure how big that game is.
But Dragon Age I’m really excited to see where they take the story, been waiting a while hehe.
Very nice haul! I put STALKER 2 on hold since it was a bit rough, and especially way too many quest bugs. As a story first person, I didn’t want to ruin the first playthrough, so that will be on the 2025 list as well for me. They have already fixed tons of it, so I’ll probably do that soon. Extremely cool game.
The Thing looks cool, and of course DA and Outlaws will be awesome!
Yeah, I’m putting STALKER 2 on hold for my play through as well but I wanted to support GSC, especially due to what they’ve had to endure.
For sure, I preordered years ago lol.
