I had a look when I unlocked the first achievement on this and it was 2018 - its taken some time to get back to it. I think at the time I’d started a few games and they must have been more interesting but then never returned to this. I’m surprised that apart from on the first boss, when tired and needing to finish up, I managed to avoid any guides throughout the story line and solved the puzzles. For me this is something as frustration usually wins and I look it up. Other people may solve them quicker but I usually have trouble when it comes to things that may be a little cryptic.
I found the weapon choices a bit overwhelming so best to chose and not overthink it. Took about 25 hours and did start to feel dragged out but overall a good variety in levels and the soundtrack is amazing.
I loved Rogue. Was the better AC game in 2014. Of course, Black Flag is my favorite and Rogue is my 4th best. Love playing as an Assassin turned Templar even though I wish the story was much longer.
I really wasn’t expecting to like this one, based on the whole parkour premise. (I don’t remember why I even bought it.) But except for a few mildly frustrating sections, I ended up enjoying it for the most part. Both graphics and gameplay hold up extremely well. Love the unique art style they went with!
Yeah… nah. I enjoy shmups for the most part. But the difficulty level here is waaay outside of my comfort zone. Managed to grab a few achievements. But moving on.
A short, free idle game that’s actually more active than any other idle game I have played. I believe this is just the beginning of the game, with free updates coming in the future.
Probably a decent fighting game. I never know because I generally suck at them and refuse to believe that anyone can memorize 12,000 different combos. Button mashing ftw!
Anyway, this one doesn’t have a story mode. Cleared arcade mode a couple of times (credits roll at the end) and then did a bit of achievement farming. 33/50 unlocked in the end, which is way more than I was expecting.
+1 - Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (XSX) - absolutely love both Sorrow entries, but after running through this one again (originally on DS) it’s very much the weaker of the two. Still a great game overall, but the art style changes and reliance on capturing specific souls that are never explained hamper the experience. Still wholeheartedly recommend this game and the Dominus Collection overall.
Monday means update time! A few completions and purchases but no change in placements on the leaderboard this week. @SilentJay76 getting close to being the third one over 30 points and the battle for the top spot isn’t over yet!
