Well not necessarily special edition. Just regular series S/X boxes but with new pictures and all. Either way i don’t mind the other options.
Yeah at this moment in time, I am sure Sony wished they did a Series S for Playstation because the number of PS4s they plan to make is only a million. I think it shows what we already knew in that Sony is really struggling to meet their expectations and their ability to quickly transition generations.
Also for all the talk how these companies can sell a digital console at an extreme loss and make it back through digital sales does not work in the real world when the majority of gamers already buy digitally.

Anyone has had this issue? I had it with Blade Runner 2049 UHD Blu Ray and I can confirm Xbox BD player is a bit of shit, like the movie&tv app and the One X BD player before (I think it’s exactly the same one on XSX).
I watched a whole bunch of 4K Blu-Rays that I got for Xmas and they played fine for me. The issue I have is that the player can get loud, so I might try to put it on its side the next time to see if that helps.

Yeah, it’s louder than X1X because XSX has many holes for cooling, I think it’s an unavoidable issue if they don’t release some firmware patches for the player. Anyway, the BD app for playing is not great imo, few options and sometimes is sluggish, they didn’t change a thing from X1, it’s the same 1:1. I hope it will be overhauled together with the media sharing tools.

Agreed. But as I mentioned on the pokemon thread, these games get a lot more time than your average pokemon game which needs to be pumped out every year or two (plus Legends Arceus does seem to have fixed many of the issues compared to their initial showing last year).
BotW2 is getting 5+ years. Imagine a mainline Pokemon game got that kinda time.
It doesn’t help that Gamefreak hasn’t updated their engine and technical bed to keep up with all the rest of the Nintendo stable. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is, comes with being the most profitable IP in the world I guess. It’s also a tragedy that no one but GameFreak gets to make a mainline game. Fucking even CoD has like three to four studios that alternate.
Kinda makes me glad I never got into Pokemon despite being a Nintendo kid. The only Pokemon game on Switch I have is New Snap because I had Snap 64 when I was little haha

Is anyone getting Anthem flashback?
People were so hyped for those first couple of trailers, me included, this game would have been gigantic if they stuck the landing
but watching gameplay, even if it didnt have all the issues, iv realised it just isnt for me, I cant deal with these absurdly massive maps running for minutes without being able to contribute anything of value in the match
Series peaked with Bad Company 2, maps that were big enough to flank and use without being pointlessly big, less reliance on vehicles, amazing destruction for the time, great class set ups and no lame ass prone snipers camping everywhere

IDK why even DICE is no longer able to produce at least functioning games.
I read the fan on Ultra cooling is very loud, so use a lower setting.
