The article is full-on fanboy cheerleading for Linux. The linked article on gaming handhelds is about how good-guy Bazzite is “shaming” the evil Windows. And that’s fine, they can have whatever opinion they like and it’s not illegal to be a fanboy. But this is what passes for neutral commentary. ![]()
Heads up:
RDR works now for owners of the 360 version. I think digital version only? I went to the Xbox site on my phone and managed to grab it for free there.
It’s not fixed for me, and I’ve owned the digital version since it first went on sale on Xbox One via BC… it’s literally just an entitlement and Xbox has never had any issue with it in the past (it’s literally what Smart Delivery is), so I’m pointing to Rockstar perhaps flubbing something or not granting all versions the new entitlement (ie only the GOTY versions, which would be stupid and directly contradictory to their press release).
Yeah. It’s very weird that their support says nope, no free upgrade for 360 owners but also Rockstar Support…working on fixing it. Friend of mine says this is because of backlash, but it’s also possible that communication within Rockstar Support isn’t the best. Lol.
That email was 100% AI written and wrong. They have to fix it region by region
I’ve been able to claim RDR1 bundle for free, which bundles RDR for Series and Complete 360 version. If you are looking at just RDR for Series it may indeed look like it’s only available inn GTA+.
Furthermore, the upgrade offer appears as “For you” offer, so maybe it shows up along other “For you” offers in store? I just searched for RDR via search bar.
Keep in mind this Steam/Valve Survey is a randomly gathered data. Steam does not survey all of their users. Back in the day when I had 2 PC Gaming Rigs for well over a decade, I only ever had 1 Survey collection happen. I have no idea how they pick what clients get asked to participate in this survey.
Not for me, and for plenty of others… that’s the whole reason it’s requiring Rockstar to fix the problem…
So last week I bought my first headphones by Skullcandy, after being blown away by a demo at a store. I’m a huge bass head, but not so much that I am fine with all the other sound being significantly worse, absolutely not.
This isn’t the case with these. The bass truly is next level and the voices of artists, sound of Instruments sound equally great. Now when I put on my Turtle Beaches I’m like…where did the bass head off to?
I see that Skullcandy makes headsets for Xbox too and I’m gonna look into it if they match the sound quality of the one I got now but since I never really see that brand in “best Xbox headset” reviews…
Just found out they got very similar ones for Xbox too, oh damn. Nevermind, you have to plug it into the controller, no thank you.
It takes little menu searching, but I’m claiming the red dead update for free. I pressed Y in dash and did a search that brought up the one that was fifty percent off, clicked it press the in this bundle button.
It brought up the old and the new versions, I clicked the new version, when it brought up the game card, I pressed on the bundles game art and it brought up 3 versions to pick from with one for free.
Suck it Apple. Nice to have ten year old features back now that at least some governments have held Apple to account.
Zombie!
Also…
Now I just need native mobile games built into the Xbox App with XPA (especially achievements) like Vampire Survivors and native in app cloud gaming.
The Linux stuff made me think about Bing. Does Bing have any fanboys saying it’ll kill Google? Because it’s had a steady consistent increase as well. From less than 3% to more than 4% over the past few years. Where’s my tech websites with the “Bing continues steady incline to overtake Google” articles ![]()
I love that franchise and have been waiting for a sequel of some sort forever. I’ve actually been following development on Deadhaus Sonata for a while as it’s like the only thing that even comes close, even if I can’t trust Denis Dyack anymore lol
In good hands, Legacy of Kain has lots of potential I think. A shame this franchise will likely go back into its tomb for a while, if not forever!
As with all things Microsoft after their rise to evil AF, everyone wants Bing/Xbox/Windows Phone(rip king)/Zune(rip queen) to die.
And then when they do die everyone laments Microsoft giving up on the revolutionary product which was way ahead of its time and the decrease in competition in whatever market ![]()
Anyone know why Hi-Fi Rush is updating? Also, I notice Krafton Inc as the publisher now.
Oh, that’s it. Kinda sad. This really could’ve been a massive stable new franchise for Xbox if things panned out better. First party Japanese developed stylish colorful rhythm action game hits a lot of marks Xbox is missing in their first party portfolio. But I guess a Japanese developer is just too difficult for Xbox to manage and it was equally too expensive for tango to collobrate with other first party studios. It’s unfortunate but I do hope they do well under Krafton (especially with that AI business) and I hope even more that Xbox continues to have a good relationship with them. I bought Hi Fi Rush twice, so not too concerned about it leaving gamepass. And I assume the covers will keep the licensed music for making them duelist it eventually.
