haha nice. I remember a bunch of “Insiders” tried to stir the pot and say Microsoft is skipping the show
My bet is Atelier Ryza trilogy will be announced here for Game Pass. FF16 will be announced here. Maybe 7 too, but we’ll see.
The great work continues.
Yup, like last year they announced their show after games con, later than everyone else. I think it’s the fact Xbox doesn’t have a physical booth that got the whole not doing something for TGS thing rolling.
I wonder if the Xbox port for Final Fantasy XVI gets announced at TGS. And perhaps older Square Enix games like Valkyrie Elysium get ported.
Also, the caption that says a Japanese player with a black cat makes me think Hi Fi Rush 2 gets announced from Krafton with a logo screen maybe.
Best of all, this showcase is the day before my ten day vacation starts!!

In case you’re wondering.
FF16 announcement can absolutely happen here and I’d love it if it still drops this year too. Not getting my hopes up for FF7R though. Well, not getting my hopes up for either, because if we go by what the dev recently said…
But that could have been on purpose.

The team that has brought us these great showcases and others.
At this point SE should STFU with all this “we want to bring more games to Xbox”, “we are excited” PR BS and announce/release some freakin’ games on the platform.
If they are serious about their multiplatform plans let’s see some games from them announced for Xbox at the TGS. I don’t know how believable is a scenario where SE can be a serious company but yeah…enough with the talk.
The bad part about it is some believed it and felt let down. Now I’m seeing a sigh of relief. I would say it’s weird for them to jump to conclusion, but I know it’s part of the norm.
It’s best not to get your hopes up for Switch 2. Unless this person is being misleading on purpose.
Agreed! The “we want to bring…” is getting old. Put up or shut up. But they did recently say that, so hopefully that’s not a sign nothing will get announced. And we had some “insiders” saying it will get announced, oh sure, but that could be next year too.
We’ll see.
In Square’s defense, the move just started here. You can tell they have been doing many cleanings and choices in order to get things back in order. That said I think the use of those phrases are running low, so this would be a good time to show it.
Yep. Even if for example the release isn’t this year, just go ahead and announce it.
I’m hoping it’s “purchasing SEGA” levels of spice.
It won’t be, I’m just hoping it would be.
That would be quite the spice. Imagine the rollercoaster that would cause. A Sega acquisition would be bonkers.
“Industry insiders” have been hyping a Switch 2 announcement every couple of months for like 4 years now.
“Switch 2 announcement is happening in the next show. This time, I’m 46% sure.”
