That was like a C+ or B- for me. Only 3 games I was personally interested in, so I’m not super excited, but objectively it was a good show, nice level of variety, the focus on Japan was cool, and not many of the games looked like slop.
They depend so much on 3rd parties it’s insane to be honest
The most exciting part of a Sony show these days is finding out I dont need a PlayStation to play most of the games they show.
I’m not feeling 007 yet. The whole colorful cartoony look of it, young Bond, it’s the actor that plays Dexter in the recent prequel show but I don’t see Bond in this video. Had expected it to be way darker.
But we’ll see.
Been trying to find out, but most games of this show are multiplatform too?
Yes. Just about all of it outside of Yotei, Marvel Fighting game, and a couple others.
I liked it a lot. Very stylish and colorful, it almost has a bit of “swingin’ '60s” vibe but set in the modern day (I guess?). Looks like a good time.
Pretty good show, I’d give it an 8. Lumines, Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, Pragmata, Romeo is Deadman, and Sword of the Sea were my highlights.
The Suda 51 game and Marvel fighter interested me. I know that Marvel isn’t coming to xbox but what about the Suda game?
No Tokon Fighting Souls on Xbox? Booooo.
Not until the next gen pc merger likely.
Finally saw it. I’ll give it a C+ due to pacing.
First 20 minutes made me think Sony accidentally posted TGS show with Japanese heavy titles. Not that I’m complaining, just thought vibe, including its interviews, was telling me that. It picked up after two hosts finished presenting, then dropped again with PSVR2, which refused to quit, then got back up with 007. The finale is really going to depend on your taste, as looking at Geoff’s poll, definitely told me fighting game is still niche as anything.
Overall, a good showing, but the first party studio showcase really need to pick up, because their absence is growing concerning.
I’m not big on fighting games(play them solo if I do buy them), but the content is always pretty good.
I guess it’s like a B- or a C+? Which I get, some of the smaller games shown helped p7shed thus for me up to 9/A.
Also, you know what would be nutty? If Marvel Vs Capcom 4 is announced as another 4v4 fighter at Games Fest or Xbox showcase.
The new president is living up to his words so far.
Only 3 games for me. 15%. The other 85% of games are of no interest to me.
- 007: First Light
- Ghost of Yotei
- Pragmata
The content is pretty good. I just think their heyday of delivering sheer content that will keep everyone buzzing is over or at least minimize a lot. No Resident Evil is interesting. Someone has said that SGF have been taking away games from Sony (maybe ironic) since they have grown bigger. Xbox actually is big themselves today and the one they have allies are loyal so far, especially Atlus. Nintendo got themselves and niche audience, so they’re good.
Basically, they can still bring out the good content, but now they need to start going hard like E3 days (maybe another irony).

D is winning so far with 32%. Not a crazy landslide, but this is PS we’re talking.
Oh come on, this is at least a B show.
Tbh I would not even count Ghost of Yotei as a game that appeared in that show.
