While I get your point, I donāt think the PlayStation has access to everything and I doubt it ever will at this pace. There are 7 Gears games 8 if you count Hive busters, and youāre just at 1 coming to PlayStation plus these is a play Anywhere game. I think the platform not the box is the main thing.

Honestly, I see this move as more of a way of expanding the market and letting more companies come in rather than just the big 3.
Oh I thought the sarcasm was obviousā¦ it was more my weekly shot at the complete failure of the media than anything

If you want to play everything, PC is the way, and MS is more than happy to take your money there. Sony release everything there, albeit slowly, which is (so far) more comprehensive than Xbox on PlayStation. Meanwhile, Gamepass is there, with Steam.
Doubly so given Windows.

And itās mostly PS players who think that Xbox is dead with that kind of moveā¦ They donāt understand that they are paying for the next Xbox and the next Gears of War.
It is a hard pill to swallow even for me, but it makes sense now.
And Xbox is still the cheapest platform to play new games.

I might agree if PS5 had a bunch of must play software that isnāt coming to xbox and PC. Iām far from thrilled at this new direction, but I canāt think of any games off the top of my head that make me want to drop cash on a PS5. If anything this makes the PC more attractive.

PC from a software perspective was and still is the best platform no doubt about that but if you want to stay on the console side of things I am not sure the PS5 is the better choiceā¦
- Cloud saves behind a paywall
- Extremely limited access to 7th gen games (like a very limited selection available only through cloud?)
- There is no Play Anywhere cross buy perk
- Inferior VRR implementation (plus less and worse 3D Audio options?)
- And of course not having a subscription like Game Pass which is the Xboxās system seller and quality/quantity wise on a whole other level when compared to every other gaming subscription out there.
So yeah I donāt know if PS5 is the better choice even after the multiplatform push from Xbox. Playstation as a whole is clearly the inferior ecosystem and having access to some niche Japanese games and Sonyās anemic 1st party portfolio isnāt making things any better IMO.

Guys, Iām personally not going anywhere. It just got me thinking that if Game Pass isnāt your jam, then PlayStation seems to be the console that gives you all the heavy hitters on one device, thatās all. Game Pass is still the best value in gaming.
Also, people that havenāt played Gears online before are going to get absolutely destroyed! Still has a very high skill level and that fan base doesnāt mess around. Looking forward to getting the old Gnasher out again.

Their first first-party game is Death Stranding 2 and even that one is literally timed exclusive unless 505 Games doesnāt publish the ports.

It does seem incredibly quiet from PS, their live service push has really caught up with them.
Doom will inevitably top Mayās PS chart.
Imagine what will happen when Halo eventually makes itās way over too!
