I tried to resist…but I had to order one of those Doom controllers. Because Doom.

It’s tempting but I already have too many controllers. :phil_unsure:

Same. But Doom has probably been one of my top five game series since I was a kid playing the shareware of the original back in the early 90s. So I kinda had to.

He might not know, having convinced other people to buy him things…

Never thought I would say this, but I’m finally playing Shadow of the Erdtree and it’s been pretty underwhelming so far. I really liked Elden Ring and that game was a solid 9 in my books, but the dlc is more like a 5 to me. The only thing i’ve liked more than the base game is the dungeon design.

I think the main thing that’s divisive(except for story related stuff) is the Erdtree level, as that can lock people out of a lot of the content until they go exploring for the items they need.

I know it kept me away from things until I can collect enough pieces to allow me to fight bosses and ads regularly. Throw in the enemies being more agressive than in the main game, random ads that can hit as hard as any boss(maun game and dlc) even after upgrading our Eerdtree level.

We get a dlc that while fun too me, is designed to try to push everything they’ve done with difficulty as high as possible.

That’s definitely been part of my dislike. Progression being tied to finding these dingleberries hidden around the map is tedious. Simple scalling is also the most boring way of progression there is. If they atleast did something fun with it I wouldn’t complain.

So, DF starts by addressing the Ad and then talking about a rumored PS6 handled that sits somewhere between Series S and PS5.

Mandatory praising Game Pass post incoming: So, Game Pass is such a money saver, with Doom next month in the span of 6 months Xbox would have released 5 high profile games on the service, and I played them all with Game Pass, currently late game in Indiana and then next will be South Of Midnight, which I hope to finish before Doom releases… I mention this because I see people online talking about these game prices and I’m like… Game Pass exists you know, at least if you’re on PC but for some reason some people seem to have this unwinding loyalty to a store or brand that they will just continue to spend absurd amounts for games while still complaining about game prices.

Not against buying games obviously, I buy plenty of games but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t try as many games if Game Pass didn’t exist, so thank you Xbox for Game Pass.

Also I will probably get GTA6 for free due to all the rewards points I have and that’s also another plus.

The thing though is I wonder just how many Game Pass can realistically reach. The potential is there to reach billions but that still comes at a cost. I’ve been watching some of the GDC presentations on opening a billion doors with Xbox, Game pass and Cloud. I think if every PC in the world were of the same Specs Game pass would be breaking records just as fast as the windows OS this is not however the case. There are many games that won’t be playable on probably most of the world’s PC. This kind of puts the burden on Cloud. Cloud has its issues, and I would imagine if Xbox cloud gaming could support over a billion streams it would and Gamepass would be booming which it is. I just think from here Xbox will have to have a service that is functional for virtually everyone and not just downloadable. Sorry for going of course.

Sungazer flaw !! :doge: That’s pretty neat actually !

OMG and a flaw for people skipping dialogues a lot !

I’m trying not to watch too many of these - I love going in cold to Obsidian games - but this looks like such a massive improvement, across the board. If the areas offer the density and range of exploration/discovery of Avowed, this is going to be another home run from one of the most-consistent studios in the industry.

It feels like they had the budget and time they needed to do what they wanted this time. I love all the changes and fine tuning they are doing with The Outer Worlds 2. It sounds like a big step up !

Well they did want them to buy them first.

I could be wrong but during the ABK trial didn’t we also learn that a Fallout 3 remake/remaster was coming as well? If that’s the same as the Oblivion one, let’s go!

Also makes me wish they did this for Morrowind. Now that’s a game that didn’t really stand the test of time.
