I bought this even tho I’m probably never going to play it with my ridiculous backlog I’m trying to get through
You did your part, so that’s good for now.
I want one but then I barely touch my original Switch, although maybe the kids would play it I guess.
Think I’ll try to secure a pre-order just in case!
Just saw the rumor about Overwatch dropping the 2 on here and understanable. But the big news was the Gundam Wing 30th anniversary collab, which only makes me wonder what they will be doing.
For cool factor, Gundam based skins are the way to go with Bastian litterally already being Heavyarms it just writes itself. Though I hope they use the older looks for the skins, because the updates that were done later on feel too over the top.
Mite be a good question for the podcast tonight but I think everyone here is excited about steam possibly being on the next Xbox( with or without ps games) but my question is if the rumored steam console is real wouldn’t that just make the next Xbox DOA? With a steam home pc console thing why own a Xbox? Hell why own a ps at that point ? I feel like if valve releases this thing it can really shake up the industry
Because it’s still a PC and the console audience doesn’t want to use those in place of consoles. An xbox that’s a console-like experience fully and has PC games? Far better for most than a PC that tries to ape consoles but still plays PC versions. My steam deck breaks all the damned time with software issues.
Some of the largest games in the market don’t work in Linux, even with Proton.
It’ll be a race between Valve and Microsoft. Valve has to fix compatibility issues, Microsoft has to fix usability issues.
The most popular piece of Valve hardware is probably the steam deck and it’s paltry lifetime sales might legitimately mean Nintendo doesn’t even know Valve is a company that makes hardware.
tldr - Valve has never once been successful in the hardware market. People act like the XSX is a failure. It has sold a literal 8x the amount valve has sold steamdecks. By any metric outside of being indy - the steamdeck barely exists.
Onimusha
Shamelessly copy and pasted from GAF
As for the length of the game, players can expect plenty of content. According to the producer, the game will take around 20 hours to complete, with the team wanting to “create a satisfying volume for a single player action game”.
-
It won’t be open-world, with the player advancing through different stages.
-
Although there will be several different specials, the sword will be the main weapon throughout the game.
-
Successfully parrying several times strengthens the sword’s power.
-
It will be possible to use the scenery in battles, such as erecting tatami mats to defend against arrows or throwing kimonos to block enemies’ vision.
-
The game won’t be extremely difficult, so everyone can enjoy it.
-
The team has not yet decided whether there will be a difficulty selector.
-
There will be puzzles.
Nihei: For the first time in about twenty years, we’re revising, reinterpreting and rebuilding the world, like ghosts and ogre clans. So there’s basically no connection with the previous work. This also aims to make it possible for those playing “Onimusha” for the first time to play this title with peace of mind.
Kadowaki: I’m aware that the experience won’t change depending on the difference in knowledge between the person playing this series for the first time and an old fan.
Pretty much all of the anti-cheat games cannot be played on Steam Deck due to the solution they use being at the windows kernel level I believe. Technically I guess companies could figure a way out by using a different solution but none of them have any reason to considering Linux’s share of game is in the low single digits.
That means Fortnite, Apex Legends, League of Legends, Valorant, Warzone, Battlefield, etc don’t run on Steam Deck.
If you miss out on all of the biggest games in the world it’s going to be hard to get the masses to adopt your product which is how MS can hope to attract some of that PC user base over to their side.

Lucky for us, it’s not April’s Fool Day.
I won’t bring it here, but looks like Grummz got his F around and find out.
He’s a perfect example of how devs too can be grifters and losers. No other way to put it.
I think I’m gonna drop dq3 I’m not really feeling it. Loved the game when I was younger and it’s one of the games that got me into the genre but man is it outdated lol

Very casual about the landmark. Nevertheless, congrats.

April’s Fool gets so real, it’s no longer fooling anyone.
April Fool’s day for gaming stopped being funny or clever a decade or more ago. Oh my god what will they do next.
