Herman Hulst really wants everyone to smell Alloy.
Since the new year Iâve seen nothing but negativity and hit pieces about Xbox for simply existing. Why does this industry want them to fail so bad lol. Fucking losers.
Its weird too, do people not understand what happens when there is no competition?
They do not, sadly itâs what the media want - corporate games media is too much in the pocket of their advertisers. When one of those just happens to be the market leader in the games industry and has their hand in music, movies, and basically every entertainment industry, itâs hard to look at them as unbiased⌠thatâs all Iâll say on the matter, beyond what I already have ad nauseam. Gamers, and more importantly devs, deserve better.
I know people donât like when we bring up drama from social media, but I will bring it up anyways. Whatâs up with social media hate towards Jason Ronald. All I am seeing on social media and articles is people discrediting is work and saying heâs no Cerny. I am like what! Say what you want about series consoles, but itâs a well made machine and there are many features the competitors doesnât have. I feel people console war way too many things like how are people console warring console engineering when most people donât know the ins and out of that.
It just felt so weird seeing the media and social media taking shots about Microsoft attempt at improving the OS.
Just wanted to get that off my chest, but it feels like people are quick to dismiss anything Microsoft attempts.
who here remembers when Sierra did the Cybersniff card in Larry 7?
Yeh ive since seen a video where Emiru went through his home with him, he cooked, he justified his hell hole of a home, no judgements here.
Really, ive seen zero. Its all about where u click and go every day.
Gee i find the Nvidia rollout of the new graphics card very cringe. Releasing that now when AI is only just beginning.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Microsoft Plans Job Cuts and Is Focused on Underperforming Employees - Business Insider
Well, at least it seems to not be entire divisions / studios or a reduction in total headcount.

The worrying part for me is that it seems theyâre not going to report specifics about who was let go from where. So they could close down a studio and just report it as jobs loss in this sector.
Itâs not like we wouldnât know immediately.
That would be very odd and unlikely I believe. And as pg2g called out, it would be extremely obvious.
I guess, the people working their are likely to talk about it on social media. Itâs still kind of skeevy way to do so, because they understand that the media puts the spotlight on them.
I think youâre over thinking this. Corporations like Microsoft in the past have routinely cut the bottom X% of employees for years, though they donât really do it as a consistent process anymore. No reason to think this is some move to hide studio closures.
Like if they were doing this, I think itâs much more likely they would not comment on rumors vs. saying something completely different.
