From a platform perspective, I can’t help but think back to the days when folks were asking for Xbox to take on a licensed property or deliver on single player, narrative driven experiences. We’ve come a long way.
Looking forward for Machinegames, it sounds like more Indie experiences may be in the cards. I still hope they go back and close out Wolfenstein beforehand. With their second studio spinning up, hopefully they can juggle multiple projects or speed up their development timeline.
The Great Circle itself was just really fun, and that’s from someone who’s never watched an Indie film! It’s an 8/10 for me. More polish in animations and cutscenes, a stronger final third of the game, and a more fleshed out Gina would have taken it over the top.
For me personally, the last third of the game was the strongest for me. Having back to back “open” areas in the beginning of the game was a negative to me. The “open” area near the end of the game was better than the two early ones because the environment and location was better in my opinion.
Genuine q: what polish do you think was missing in cutscenes? To me, it was a breath of fresh air to have cutscenes that were actually movie-like vs some other auteurs who love movies but don’t seem to understand them.
Was it the script or the model animations or occasional popin?
ETA: or is it Voss’s lips? Because those are throwing me off now and then, lol
Well, that’s the thing. I thought my Sony A95K TV was Android TV, but it’s actually Google TV. And the only way to find apps is just the section in the OS itself, no other ways to install apps. And using the TV Internet browser to then Google it and install it likely won’t work. Damn.
I’m guessing a alternative is getting a Chromecast that let’s me install these APK files?
XboxEra truly needs it, whereas YouTube is just increasing prices for the f of it it seems, it’s honestly quite ridiculous what they charge you for it nowadays.
I got it working! Had to download a app from the store, a file manager basically and from there I used its browser to install Smart Tube from its official site.
With guides so easily available to you it’s sometimes tempting when you get stuck, but if you press on the feeling of achievement is so good, and no thanks to a guide. I’m in Woodfall Temple now.
If you have access to a university/college email address you may be able to sign up for a student account. It’s significantly cheaper but I think you’re limited to 4 years.
