Pro is 700 dollars , right? But it’s 800 euros in my country, so by that logic the next Xbox would be 900 euros here, let’s hope not. :joy::sob:

Yeah. I believe both Microsoft and Sony are done taking any losses. PS5 Pro is $700 but I also use the 2TB Xbox Series X at $600 as an example too. Add in a new CPU, more RAM and a better GPU and it will easily be close to $800.

Whatever your opinion of Xbox marketing is, gotta admit they do these cool partnerships that reminds me of the 360 days lol

Nope, and for many reasons. The game could be the absolute best version possible of what it tries to do, it won’t be recognized in the goty conversations. Games made in the “eurojank” genre don’t get that. Hell, even a very polished and accessible version of that in Metro Exodus didn’t get that recognition just because it was less conventional than the norm lol

Anyone noticed when Googling any game that’s available on Xbox, the Xbox logo appears first/biggest among other platforms? MS gotta be paying for this, right? I never knew Google to do stuff like this randomly or for free

Remember if tariffs do come in for products made in China, that $800 console could be over $1100.

The USA might actually end up with more expensive prices than the rest of the world next generation - it’d be a big change and a shock to US gamers I think, wonder if it might mean production costs are kept down.

If they are, I wonder if the rest of the world would also get some of those savings or whether they’d use them to cover the tariffs - as per usual screwing the rest of the world on price compared to the USA purely because it’s the only competitive market lol

It launched?

I forgot about that. Either way, next generation will be very expensive.

Yep unsure about Xbox but I’ve no doubt Sony will screw Europe (where there’s little competition) in order to keep the price competitive in the USA so they don’t lose sales in one of their biggest but hardest fought market.

The Pro pricing in the UK and the EU definitely feels like that could happen, and the gaming media will ignore it as usual (“consoles are a luxury item”, “US consumers need the help” and my favourite “it’s the fault of Xbox as they’re not competitive in Europe”).

Particularly I think it could happen as Sony’s fortunes rely so much on the PlayStation division - and the main metric they seem to use is whether console sales are ahead or at least near previous generations (whether by units or revenue).

A higher US price could result in a big drop so hit their stock price so nope it’ll be on the rest of the world to pay the extra lol

Tomorrow. Someone took a snapshot.
