Well Cyberpunk 2077 blurs the line between immersive sim and RPG.
It blurs the line between game and bug
I dont think arkane can make something that big .
Chuckle please Cyberpunk has a damn family.
Well in concept AND in inconsistent execution I meant, just not in polish and delivery, no.
Yeah, youâre probably right. Not too many studios can make CDPR sized games.
Not even CDPR.
Problem I think that that game had was it wanted to be a systemic, open ended, multi layered and detailed open world RPG AND a AAA technical and visual showcase at the same time.
It simply needed 2 years more, we are seeing it now, 2021 is almost finished and next-gen patches are MIA, along with several structural issues of the game still unsolved. We know from Schreier devs projected the realistic release in fall 2022, not 2020 lol.
I actually believe it needed around 3 years at least and ditching last gen. Problems arenât just polish and bugs, the game is incomplete structurally and mechanically as well.
No, itâs one person who wants The Coalition to make a new IP right now and will manipulate reality and lie to claim Gears is a flop. He did the same thing a few months back and I showed him that Gears 5 both sold more copies than 4 and had many more players than 4 on Gamstat launch-aligned.
This person didnât even respond.
Who doesnât
Câmon, no need for this, âthis personâ. People can have their own opinions and views. Theyâre video games, donât make it personal and passive aggressive like this.
We should not go OT, but there is a strange sentiment towards Gears in the community: many believe itâs done and The Coalition should do other things, I personally believe a renewed Gears with more time along with a more successfull Xbox can come back greatly, we should remember Gears 5 launched within a GP in its infancy and it still did great. Also TC has been a quality standard surpassed only by Playground among XGS during 8th gen, Rare and 343 were much more inconsistent for example (and thatâs it, no other 1st party studios during 8th gen lol, Xbox was really in a dire situation).
Enough about Gears.
Letâs go back to arguing about my poll and why Shadowrun needs to be a full blown RPG by Obsidian.
Nobody is lying but if you think the new trilogy is all peaches and cream then keep on nobody is stopping you. I know you get defensive considering nobody has bothered to finish or beat the new games compared to the new trilogy but keep on going.
But this isnt the thread for you to be complaining about my sentiment for Gears a franchise that I love and own every game for.
What does Shadowrun bring to the table as an Immersive Sim by Arkane instead of a Fallout-Style RPG by Obsidian?
It could be what Cyberpunk 2077 failed to do, a realistic and living 3D cyberpunk world.
Idk Im curious why people think this would be a great fit for Arkane and Im thinking Deus Ex like stuff and yeah baby give it to me.
MY MAN.
