I can’t deny I dislike this ToW 2 companions trailer a lot. The way its put together gives me Concord vibes and these characters seem very unlikeable. But that was the case for Dragon Age Veilguard characters trailer too before they showed gameplay, so we’ll see.

I felt that outer worlds 2 is not vibing with me at all, i dunno. Just feels a bit, how should i put it, odd and not in a good way.

Yeah, the only character I dig is the robot, lol. But hey, we’ll see. I have yet to play the first game. Did that have likeable characters? I guess that can be considered subjective though.

I never really played the Outer Worlds, but I always see opinions range from “it’s mid Obsidian will never make a game as good as Fallout New Vegas.” to “It’s amazing. My favorite game ever.” Hard to tell these days. It reviewed generally well. But not universally beloved. I feel like the Outer Worlds 2 will be similar. Avowed is more my cup of tea though. I’ve always been more of a fantasy RPG guy than space.

Oh, for the bit I did play, I did get into the side quest helping that one dotkish companion land her crush. That was cute.

I’ve not watched the trailer as I’m dodging it all to go in fresh, but I loved the first game and a companion trailer would’ve probably been poorly received.

One companion was an angry vicar who’d been to prison, talked down to people and kinda hated everyone - but in the end he grew on you and genuinely made you laugh when he unintentionally ridiculed the weird religion of the planet.

Others you warmed to immediately or were also slow burn, and the robot and ship’s computer were often hilarious - it’s all typical Obsidian, they’re great at satire, interplay between characters, complex characters and difficult decisions but funny and interesting throughout

If you guys sell your Z1E ROGs for 200$ US you let me know. Around here on marketplace they go for 500$ Canadian with a case, screen protector and dock.
