and it wasn’t like he was creative head of fable. he was one of founders of PG and had been there 12 years.
maybe he stuck around after buyout to keep an eye on PG first full game as a MS studio, and since that shipped, he has decided its time to leave?

Licensed games aren’t bad and neither are older IPs, you just can’t force an IP onto a studio and hope it turns out well though. Best case scenario is that some studios want to delve into the vault and use something/they get approached and have a wide range of licenses to use.

Unless Microsoft buys DC and all their intellectual property, lisenced games can be a bit of a money drain, that could be spent elsewhere. But I can see why people want them, it’s getting to play a character who is popular outside the bubble of gaming. Also didn’t think about Marvel because it has always been a whatever situation with me, I enjoy some of their stuff but for the most part I ignore it.

I wish for the day when we get a licensed game because clearly over the past few years they’ve worked out exceptionally well.
Like a Mandolorian game or DC license is just waiting to happen.
