It could be argued that the game could have predatory microtrasanctions and unfair looting systems before the acquisition by MS.
Now they have complete freedom to do a great game without corporate meddling with greed.
I think it’s more about how these games were greenlit when Xbox wasn’t part of the discussion yet and Zenimax was turning into a different direction. Plus that until that point Arkane was solely known for their singleplayer immersive sims.
I fully expected that under Zenimax alone, Youngblood had nasty mtxs, so the entire monetisation scheme of F76.
You’re right, it was all around the same time too, wasn’t it? Bethesda, especially so BGS had done some very nasty shit after releasing 76, before that they were loved by their fans and there was always praise.
I recall a video from a long time ago and basically it said that leadership at Zenimax had changed for the worst, it would sure explain the change for the worst that started.
A lot of anti Online sentiment that was prevalent during that time particularly due to the “singleplayer games are dying” bullshit that kept getting spread online (along with the bogus #SavePlayer1 campaign by Zenimax) didn’t help F76 along with the bugs it had.
People need to relax on making a judgement on Redfall graphics it was a playtest if i remember correctly Sea of Thieves playtest look like this back in the day lmfao it all apart of game development.
Yep. Battlefield just had a play test about a month ago. The leaked images did not look good. But I’m pretty sure it’s gunna look steller at release.
We will get a cool trailer of a far away game at TGA then we wait for E3 2022.
That’s very likely, but I also expect to see some trailers of H1 2022 from XGS and/or deals, like Darktide (shown at the last TGA and expected in Q2), CrossfireX (if it doesn’t make it for 2021), maaaaybe Grounded and As Dusk Falls. There is also Scorn which is more and more unlikely for 2021 and Hello Neighbour 2 (maybe it’s not for all people, but it has a very big niche of followers). Obviously there is always STALKER 2, which is a high profile game.
If you go on Phil’s Twitter there are still 2021 games without a date:
I can see that, but I don’t trust anyone outside official announcements for this kind of stuff.
We’ll see. I have no hopes of aggression in marketing either. I hope we get to see a lot of stuff, and I want Inside Xbox back, with Parris and an adult format but I won’t hold my breath.
Well, during last TGA Xbox was there in force, it was a significant showcase for the brand, much more than this last Gamescom for example:
At least MS understood the big audience of Geoff and ramped up their presence year over year.
Yeah, they might go even bigger. Let’s hope so!
Yea
yo honestly this gives off some neat vibes, I would totally play this if it was from an indie developer on Steam.
Im guessing he was speculating rather than confirming?
A shooter looter made by the masters of game design and creativity when it comes to killing people ? I’m definitely very interested !
Sea of Thieves was like that ? No way
I find it funny that people are angry with a game that has a year left to release because of old build and forget god of war was like this before release
