I wish there was a rule that makes it mandatory for a platform holder to say immediately at reveal of a new game with timed exclusive nonsense for how long it will be.
That FF7 PS5 edition trailer at least said something about a few amount of months. Now with KOTOR Remake wtf even knows how long.

So was Final Fantasy 7 Remake and yet we still don’t have a release date for Xbox, these timed exclusive deals are getting ridiculous to be honest.
The fact of the matter is Sony is getting these deals left and right while also having enough internal studios, whereas Microsoft isn’t securing anything as near as iconic as Star Wars as a timed exclusivity.
The last time Microsoft did a big timed exclusive was for Rise of the Tomb Raider and they got RIPPED A NEW ONE for that. Twitter had a massive outrage, the press had a massive outrage etc.
This to me seems like PlayStations equivalent of getting Tomb Raider timed exclusive like what Microsoft did.
Microsoft needs to step up their exclusive game…fast.
I understand Xbox has Bethesda now but man…I’m really sad to see Star Wars knights of the old republic not coming day 1 for Xbox.

They need a more active community manager and a better commercial team to be honest. The Xbox ads for the past 12 months have been non-existent minus the 5 minutes of fame they got for Bethesda. I see Playstation ads all the time on television and the internet whereas I only see the occasional game pass banner ad.
Xbox needs to step up their trailers too. A trailer should never spark yawns and question marks because people don’t understand what they just watched. For example, the Redfall trailer was confusing to a lot of people and still hasn’t hit a million views.

Yeah, I can’t believe Xbox is letting PS walk away with Europe again. Especially since they have a really good shot this gen of gaining share. The hype around here tonight is… unreal.

I’m American but I understand what’s going on in europe, or rather what isn’t going on. At this point it’s in Microsoft’s best interest to acquire more studios and publishers if their plan is 100 million + game pass subs.
I have a PC so I’m very excited to give Uncharted a shot, I’ve owned a PS4 and I loved the games I just hated the controller. Microsoft needs to not only make excellent games (which is something we already know Sony can do), but also make the Xbox and a gaming PC with the Xbox client something that everyone wants to have.
Microsoft needs to go all out with the Zenimax Online MMO exclusive, they need to give us a reason to care about project dragon and every other project they have in development. They need new trailer directors and community managers as well.
To me licensed IPs don’t matter as much, I don’t really care about spiderman or wolverine BUT I totally see the appeal to them.
I don’t think Microsoft needs to go on a licensing spree, but rather they need to make new IPs that have the same charm as other popular franchises.
