. Didn’t Grubb put it down for a 2023 release when he wrote down the road map for first party games? The only way that game is coming out 4 years from now is if there is serious development issues.

I’m so disappointed with TheAP99. I’ve had that dude blocked for literal ages, but when I heard Sony had acquired a PC porting studio I excitedly unblocked him to see him wreck his PS5 with a baseball bat. Instead I see that the dude is an avid Game Pass supporter now.

Well I guess the good news about this rumor is when the thread is inevitably made on OtherERA, NateDrake, Sponger and Grubb may comment on it so maybe we’ll figure out what’s going on.

Also it’s always curious how these narratives form around XGS studios and never anywhere else.
“Obsidian is secretly in shambles” “The Initiative has ego clashing problems” “People are leaving Bethesda in droves because they want to make PS5 versions”
Funny how everyone ALWAYS makes headlines of XGS departures, yet 18+ year vets of Insomniac or SSM or Naughty Dog leave and it’s always “Wish them well! Excited to see what they do next”

Yeah, people come and go all the time, and that is especially true in the game industry. And Avellone always had a problem with Obsidian to the point even talking about it in a positive way make him sick. I’m not going to give any credit to whatever he says.

Well like I said, when the rest of the world wakes up and posts about this on Twitter and OtherERA, maybe we’ll get more info from Sponger, Grubb, Imrhan and others.
During the Xbox Wire post at E3 about TOW II, they did say Avowed gameplay soon.
But soon in gaming industry world is anywhere from 6 months to next E3.

I include Avellone within this…he literally went from Interplay to Obsidian.
But seriously, he is ready to make up things, especially if it can hurt Fergus. He is not above that, and already spread lies in the past about a bad culture at the studio. He HATES the guy literally.

Seems quite possible this Avellone guy is acting out of vindictiveness and desperation
He filed a libel lawsuite last year against “some of his accusers”. So he has multiple sexual harrasment accusers and no employment because of this. Yeah, lets not put much weight behind a thing this guy says right now
Edit: I’d expect that low life Jeremy, from TheQuartering to jump in to support this guy and everything he has to say any minute now. If he hasn’t already
