Not dead, but we don’t have a team actively working on it right now is basically what Phil said years ago about it.

Anyone know what Iron Galaxy is doing nowadays? I would think that Microsoft would just acquire them as the Killer Instinct studio since they worked on seasons two and three.

So guys, now that Bethesda is in the bag, 20+ extra games have been added to the service, more next gen consoles are in the wild etc…What do we think will be the reported Gamepass subs numbers at the April 2021 investor call?

We are two weeks from the end of the quarter…with the next investor report likely in about 4/5 weeks time.

I think we could see 22m. Based on the previous tracking of 1m extra subs a month, plus a Bethesda boost.

I think by E3 time, 25 mil is a very good possibility. But specifically investor call in April, I think 20 is a safe bet, it’s more of a round number for marketing compared to 22. They can then announce 25 at June event and give the perception of a higher jump in sub count.

Totally unsurprising, really. There’s not many “Free” developers who could make KI. Iron Galaxy is busy on their own projects and seem to have cooled off on doing a sequel. In terms of US Studios you only really have Hidden Variable (Busy on SkullGirls), or nWay (Busy on Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid) who have fighting experience and could do one.

If they take it to Japan they could maybe get someone like Eighting or Arc System Works. But it seems like it will be a while off before they can find a developer or they wait for Iron Galaxy to be free and maybe change their minds on it.

Really dont think Killer Instinct should be any type of priority over other projects. If they find a developer cool and if not zzzzz.

I’m a Diablo fan, played Minecraft Dungeons and found it ok but not spectacular. I think some of this is the IP, I’ve just never really been into Minecraft. I know Xbox has dabbled in the genre prior to this with Halo Spartan Assault (there were two of them I think?), but I wonder what other Xbox franchises would be ripe for a Diablo-like spin-off, or even something in that perspective.

I think the easy answers are the Fallouts / Elder Scrolls types, but what about a ReCore themed game that played in the same style as those Lara Croft isometric games, a MechAssault game similar to Alienation, or a Pillars Diablo “clone”? I love these games that are arcadey in nature, simple but super fun to play.

FYI for toggling FPS boost:

• Highlight the game in your library
• Hit the “select” button (the two boxes in the middle left of your controller) to go to manage game
• Go to compatibility options
• Hit FPS boost

I was bored yesterday and downloaded FO:76, didn’t feel great. It legitimately feels like a whole other game now; this is insane.

Mechassault Diablo clone, or Fallout Diablo clone would suit me. Not enough Sci Fi in my diablo clones
