I did like the part about the ring being a 3D object and how that can cause an eclipse when the light source passes behind it.

Probably a legal obligation. Note MS didn’t mention it by name and Dinga Bakaba’s section showed no footage of it. Petty marketing/legal stuff unfortunately. Feel bad Deathloop and Ghostwire got caught up in this.

I adore The Outer Worlds. I am 100% on board with Outer Worlds 2, but if Obsidian wants to do Fallout, I get it and would be very happy too.

It is most definitely due to the exclusivity deal with Sony stating they cannot mention or be associated with Xbox for a period of time. Sony is normally very strict with these sorts of things, even for simple marketing deals.

I am mixed because like i’ve said in the past Obsidian did a great job with the limited budget they had. I believe they built a great starting place for a new IP, and I think with bigger budget it can be a bonafide hit. The Outer Worlds did many thing well, and I like the topics they talk about, and it brings a fresh dystopian future we don’t often see in this medium tbh.

However, if they want do a Fallout game I will be okay with that, but I feel there is room for both franchise to coexist because they offer something different.

Also I hope it gets series x enhancement so I can buy season pass

I dont know why you people dont want Obsidian to finally make their own mark with their own IP’s. The thing I want them to do the LEAST is become known as the “spin-off” fallout team.

I dont want them or inxile anywhere near BGS ip’s.

I think people loved new vegas, so I guess this is why many are wanting that. However, I think with Microsoft’s budget and many studios they own it’s better to allow these studios create their own IPs to strengthen Microsoft library. I rather see them take chances on new IPs than to work on existing Bethesda IPs because you never know what the results are when developers create their own IPs.

I had a look at the concurrent numbers of Microsoft games on Steam. Halo is a very US-centric property, while the other Microsoft properties seem to have more varied userbases. Forza Horizon 4 could be a little early to tell, but seem very Asia/EU-centric so far. (Maybe due to the lower prices in countries in the eastern hemisphere?
