Microsoft wasn’t going to spend today going over Bethesda’s 5-to-10 year plan and say “Quake Reboot? Exclusive.” “Commander Keen MMO? Multiplat but best on Xbox” “Fallout New Oreleans…”
That wasn’t the place for this. They can’t say everything yet, because many of the games are still in dev or VERY early.

Anything in development is a sunk cost - basically included in the price of acquisition. In the end all that talk that they don’t need to put the games on Playstation amounted to nothing. Well, let’s move to a separate topic.

idk why yall keep bring up tencent like theyre a hardware or streaming platform lmao. They own many studios and most if not all of their games continue to be multiplat. They just bought the studios behind Warframe and Gears Tactics and their games aren’t being taken away from anything. Everything else is just speculation about their future plans about them possibly starting their own console or streaming service which are all currently baseless

At the beginning I was kinda confused by your first sentence but Zenimax literally switched from single player games to coop/mp service games to make money.
Looking at how MS are off hands on all of their acquisition after they got Minecraft I would say yes. Of course they will keep an eye on not some BS ideas but all in all they should be hands off on most of the stuff.
now, on god if these bethesda games don’t come to gamepass pc as well at the same time they do for console this week, I’m gonna riot lol. We got what? two goddamn versions of 1 sports strategy game this first half of the month while the console got NBA2K21 and some other shit.
All these months, their focus imo should have been ironing out the MS Store problems for these bethesda games so the DOOM Eternal case can not happen again, where it came to console at one time, and to PC 3 months later, that’s not a good look anymore, especially with PC already missing out on most third party games that come to console (and if I had a dollar for every time someone brought up niche strategy games somehow offsetting any of that, I’d be able to enter a bidding war with MS for SEGA), and EA play still nowhere in sight, AT LEAST Bethesda games should come to Gamepass PC at the same time later this week. Evil Within, Prey, Skyrim, whatever, Gamepass PC and Gamepass Console should at least start having more parity for first party games.
