ACG is great. His source this year has been 8 for 8 so while he doesn’t say everything, he knows a lot of stuff. Matty is great as well. Grubb/Corden are great. Shinobi has barely mentioned anything in years so I don’t even see him as an insider and I don’t know a single thing Sams has mentioned. I would easily take what ACG and Matty say over Shinobi and Sams.

Well, that’s great to hear then! True about Shinobi, last year we heard a lot but this year he’s been very quiet indeed.

They launched Oblivion during the early months of the 360 when that system was still difficult to find. My guess is with the original plan to launch on the PS5 and Series consoles, they weren’t worried about last gen. Especially when the PC is still their main market.

Mr Matty on the Defining Duke podcast says that an Xbox first party studio is working on another Lucas Film IP. Later on he said that the Coalition are working on something else besides Gears 6 which will shock people.

My guess : The Coalition are working on The Mandalorian

A Mandalorian game by TC would be dope.

I would also love Star Wars: Imperial Commando either by TC or id Software. Or even better, a Commando game set during the Old or High Republic (depending of the direction of the KOTOR reboot and the movies)

So if TC is indeed making a game based on a Lucasfilm IP, that’s probably going to be an exclusive I would think. I still wonder what is the case for Indiana Jones too. To have a Xbox first party studio make a multiplatform game years from now would just be odd. It would mean that each time Xbox makes a deal with Lucas to make a game it has to be multiplatform, nah.

At some point Microsoft passed on an Alan Wake sequel, the original didn’t see enough traction. Maybe they would have green lighted it if Game Pass was more advanced/further along at that time.

Yeah, Game Pass came just a little bit too late for some things. It is what it is.

I think itll be exclusive. I assume they will already need to go back to negotiate for Game Pass, if they are already going to re-work the deal might as well get the exclusive in.
