Which Nintendo studio though? And also would they make it for Switch first and then port to Xbox? That would be a shame, that’s like Dragon Quest. If a new Banjo happens it needs to take full advantage of Xbox Series.
Have you played Mario Odyssey? Nintendo knows how to sweat their pixels to make very pretty games (and at 60fps, which is the case for Odyssey!). And then 4K on Series consoles it would be very crisp.

When is the next XGS release? It’s been forever since the last full game(Nov 2019 - Gears 5).
I guess Gears Tactics, Hivebusters (dlc), Tell Me Why, Battletoads, Ori WotW, and Minecraft Dungeons dont count then?
The next releases are Flight sim (Console), Grounded (Full Release), and Psychonauts 2.

Wasteland 3 literally exists. Not exclusive, but an XGS release nonetheless.

Anything published by xbox is first party, doesnt matter if they own the studio. And youre not correct even excluding those arbitrarily. Minecraft dungeons is a full game.

So you want to be pedantic? I’m referring to exclusive first party. Gears 5 is the last release that fits that.
As a consumer, I don’t see a difference between 1st and 3rd party, it’s all games for me.
As for the studios, what they need to do is work on new content, either for current or coming games.
And looking at each studio, we see a lot of work, for current projects, and many announced and unannounced new ones.
And growth, lots of it!

September 2021 if you mean console/PC exclusive. Last console/PC exclusive was Gears Tactics on November 10th, 2020. It was developed by Splash Damage with The Coalition assisting so that’s technically the last Xbox Game Studios release.
Gears 5 was released on September 10th, 2019. Not November.

Ori 2 is a masterpiece, Battletoads is ok, I didn’t like much BE (I only tried few times I admit), W3 is not my thing (but it was the best rpg of 2020, it was a scam that FF7R won, only for the name), Grounded is great and will be even greater with the full release, TMW is not my thing (I tried, but meh, anyway it won awards and it is a good product), Fligh Sim is another masterpiece, Gears Tactics is great, TOW is from 2019, but it’s also a very good rpg.
Quality is not a problem, it’s the perception of too few “big games” that still tarnish XGS reputation, journalists are among the principal culprits for this, they have spreaded a dumb narrative for years and now they are prisoners of it, even if they liked many of these games.
EDIT: I did not try AoE 3, but I played the original (not a masterpiece like 2, but a very good game), MC Dungeons is good, but nothing more, a solid game.

Ori 2 is indeed a masterpiece. I’ve only just got back into it recently and it is amazing. Thankfully there’s an easy mode!
I agree that XGS had a cracking 2020 so I’m not sure what the “no games” thing is about.
2 x bonafide GOTY contenders in Ori and flight sim. Both…90 MC and above.
Great DLC for Outer Worlds.
Lots of other interesting stuff.
2021 is the year of the AAA banger though. Halo and (in all likelihood) Starfield…and once this starts rolling, it won’t stop.

Does anyone have a prediction for what 3a first party game that coming out after halo and starfeild and forza? My guess was everwild q1 or q2 2022 now that rumors of the game being semi rebooted maybe that gets pushed to the summer fall I also was thinking hellblade 2 summer 2022 in like June but that also might get pushed a bit, those are my 2 first games that I think are coming out. Gun to my head I say everwild first maybe also arkanes game or wolfenstein?
