Eyyy
they are good but their games canāt reach trilogy glory.
also the last thing gears needs is super powers or rpg numbers on screen
My worry last year was about gamepalay since the games were too early too show and I was right I am a little worried about that this year but less so, Hellblade, everwild, avowed, should all have gameplay with halo and stuff. Perfect dark, fable, inexile, state of decay and compulsion are the the ones I worry about. Also I except big 3rd party games to be revealed although they might not be ready yet to show.
Didnt say it needed super powers but that style of game outriders is doing would pivot well in Gears.
I Like your pfp in kuwabaras voice āurameshiā
what gears needs complete reboot back to the roots and not another sequel to try new ideas with these mediocre characters or shoving open world design into the game
Donāt hate me for this. Iām all about getting hyped so donāt let this kill your excitement. But I felt like sharing this as Jeff is usually on point.
Jeff Grubb on XboxEra podcast: ''But I also think MS needs that (referring to Starfield showing at E3) cause I think the Xbox show itself is probably gonna be disappointing to a lot of people because there wonāt be a lot of new mindblowing announcements they sort of announced everything that they can at this point, thereās a few things, like we know that Jason Ronalds been teasing something but we all know what Jason Ronalds is looking forward to the most right, like probably a Forza game right (FH5). So what is Xbox gonna have, theyāll probably gonna talk a lot about Halo, theyāll probably gonna have 1-2 unannounced games, and if weāre lucky some updates on the stuff that theyāve already talked about, some stuff about Avowed, some stuff about Perfect Dark, but thatās gonna be like a few more teasers. Nothing too substantial. Weāre still a ways out. Thatās the stuff theyāre gonna really have to talk about in 2022. So I would expect a lot on Halo, a few updates here and there and some other stuff and then let Bethesda take over and say ok now letās go to the Bethesda show and be so grateful that we bought Bethesda (alluding that MS without them didnāt have much to show this year).
Episode 48 of XboxEra podcast : https://xboxera.com/2021/03/13/episode-48-welcome-home
This was 4 weeks ago. So things could have changed dunno. Either way Iām fine. The future is bright and Iād rather the teams get all the time in the world they need instead of rushing things. Show things whenever theyāre ready. Even if it means not much gameplay this year.
Point being that attaching qualitative sentiment to quantitative measures is futile. Because itās entirely subjective.
Even if it wasnāt, your definition of āgreatā probably differs to mine.
Imo whatās more important is your explanation and rationale.
Best shounen protagonist.
I agree, itād fit really well in the universe of Gears. In fact, in Gears Tactics you already had something like this - upgrading the skill trees of your characters, modding weapons, opening gear drops with loot. And in Hivebusters you had different characters with distinct abilities, and upgrades throughout the game. Iād be all over Gears in the style of a looter shooter.
man if the show donāt have hellblade 2 gameplayā¦
100%. I absolutely do not care for any of these characters at all lol.
You see the vision
He doesnāt know everything for sure, he talked about obvious things that we already knew about.
Thereās third-party announcements, second-party announcements and updates on hellblade, some Forza game, avowed, everwild, Bethesda games.
That IS an awesome show.
Find it slightly weird that Jeff expects a update on Perfect Dark⦠but not Hellblade 2 which is relatively far into its development cycle.
I think heās speculating really, doesnāt make much sense for small updates on E3, we didnāt see things like āsmall updatesā last year.
Literally nothing has been shown about Hellblade in the 14 months since the original series X announcementā¦
I fully expect a deeper dive for E3.
i donāt think itās good idea to start with halo again simply because it doesnāt scream next gen, also donāt do that cgi halo again before reveal i mean what the point of that ? it was waste of money and time
3/10 = horrible 4/10 very bad 5/10 =bad 6/10 = ok 7/10= pretty good 8/10 good 9/10 very good/great 10/10= amazing/ GOTY
Thatās how I grade stuff. Anyway last year was disappointing for me because they needed to show some graphical showcases for the new Xbox generation but didnāt. I donāt mind CGI if shows what a game is going to be about but last summers wasnāt good. Halo was the highlight for me because Iām a super fan, loved the gameplay. Disappointed by the graphics. Still a decent show.
While I agree, thereās high possibility that Halo opens it again.
BUT, I think that Hellblade 2 has a nice chance of opening it.
