It seems obvious now, “Available Tomorrow or Today” or a date. if it doesnt, i will have my doubts if the version of FF14 for XOne and XSX|S exists or if it will exist.
I was thinking that since Phil’s famous one-week trip to Japan in 2018, Xbox has received:
- NieR Automata
- NieR Replicant on day one next year
- The old Kingdom Hearts games
- Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory on day one
- All Yakuza games
- Dragon Quest 11S
- Yakuza 7 on day one
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (and this seems to be coming to Game Pass)
Also, FFVII Remake and FFXVI are only timed exclusives, meaning Square Enix probably rejected an offer by Sony to make those totally exclusive to PlayStation, so the sales of those games on Xbox must be significant. In terms of big Japanese games, I feel like nowadays Xbox is only missing FFXIV and Persona 5. Obviously there are other Japanese games like Judgment, TWEWY or SaGa Frontier which are important but again, in terms of big Japanese games Xbox is only missing FFXIV and Persona 5, so I think that Japanese support has gotten better in the last two years.
It seems Microsoft is advertising Xbox Game Pass as a security net to Japanese developers, which I think makes a lot of sense. If you fear your game won’t sell well on Xbox, you can always talk to Microsoft to get a Game Pass deal and have the cost of porting your games funded, this seems to be the case with Yakuza and Dragon Quest. I imagine that if the Yakuza deal works for SEGA, they will port Persona 5 to Xbox.

FF14 on Game Pass would be a good get. Hopefully with all the expansions and on PC Game Pass as well
you guys see those patents going around of the xbox controllers with force feedback in the triggers? Looks like they got filed on 12/1/20
I don’t have a PS5 yet but the main reason I want one is for the haptics in the controller so I’d be pumped if Xbox put out a controller with these features and their first parties took advantage

Without a doubt, these will be implemented in the next elite controller.
It doesn’t make sense to put it in the regular controller but would be awesome for a niche controller.
Not sure what “game changer” is all about, nor the new IP. I am not gonna watch it because they show Hivebusters gameplay and I want to play that myself when I get around to doing so.
