Agreed on all, except sandbox. Personally I don’t know yet. I love to explore game worlds, as long as they are interesting and diverse. Give me reasons to check every nook and cranny, basically. Some of these games with open worlds just aren’t all that because the world just isn’t that great. Hope 343 gives us a great world, worthy of exploring.

I think he means focusing on the sandbox design of the classic halo games and improving upon them (As they shared for example, there’s more physicality to the vehicles).

Though what they shared about the open world has been exciting thus far as well

Microsoft is planning a series of news events over the coming months that will focus on categories like gaming, cloud, and Windows. The Verge has learned that Microsoft is dedicating time to particular categories at a time when the pandemic has halted in-person events.

Well the game is not open world. Is has open sections. Think Metro Exodus

I have yet to play Exodus, but would you say it can be compared to Borderlands too? In Borderlands you have this bigger open field(s) and in those big areas you got closes off contained, linear sections.

Kind of but the area’s in Halo seems much bigger
