No interest in From Software games. The furthest I ever made it was around 10 hours into Bloodborne and that was more than enough for me. Sekiro was maybe a few hours. Never played Dark/Demon’s Souls whatsoever. I will see if Elden Ring is different and more for me or if it ends up being another From Software game that gets added to that list.

also turns out a lot of people on that subreddit have no idea that Turn10 isn’t JUST a studio that makes racing games, they are also kind of this internal tech team that help other studios on their projects, think “ICE Team” over at Sony but perhaps not as big. They helped Asobo on Flight Sim, they’re helping Playground on Fable, and who knows what else?
There are many reasons to be skeptical of that “leak” lol, but the Turn10 part isn’t what makes it less likely. I don’t have much problem believing Turn10 might branch out into other things this generation.

I don’t really have an opinion on that. There are so many rumours like these every day that it’s hard to tell. My first thought however would be that Turn 10 is incredibly busy already with ForzaTech, Forza Motorsport, assisting on Forza Horizon and Fable, so another thing seems highly unlikely.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. It’s more so a logistical problem right now making this whole thing unlikely, not that Turn10 themselves aren’t inherently possible to help on said XGS Fromsoft game.
I don’t know whether it’s lockdown starting to make me go literally insane, but I feel we need some good XGS news. Even just some screenshots from Everwild or Fable. I’m so hungry for new info I may die of malnutrition.

Personally, Arkane games for me usually not that inspiring visually.
The most important thing is that we did not lose Starfield. Losing big Bethesda RPG would be a tragedy. Imagine if it were coming to EGS on PC brr…

Few Halo Infinite questions…
I was talking with my buddies after this yesterday. Halo Infinite is not Halo 6, right? So story wise it’s definitely not a sequel to Halo 5 either?
How do they plan to end that story then? Things were still quite up in the air. Or ARE they wrapping the story up in Infinite?
Why was Chief floating in space? Who is the pilot dude? The way they have been marketing the game story wise too is just odd. Out of the blue this pilot dude and I’m like “wtf are you even?” etc.
343 said that after halo 5, the halo games wouldn’t have a number in the name any more, only another name. Halo infinite it’s halo 6
It is a direct sequel, but can also be viewed as a great starting point for someone that’s never played Halo before.
It’s a direct continuation, but I have no idea on what the story details will actually be.
We’ll find out.

This isnt to make it sound like they dont have much to do, because a lot of work goes into the forza motorsport titles, but there is a lot of outsourcing. For example all the cars are outsourced, and iirc shared with the forza horizon series, so that cuts out a lot of work, and they have effectively been making the same game for 20 years so they surely have found a few tricks along the way to make games more efficiently.
Plus they started to do things like laser scanned tracks, which I imagine makes replicating a real world track much easier, getting the contours of a real world track perfect sounds like an exercise in futility, which is why laser scanned tracks have taken off so much
