Look at something like the Ultima series. You could take objects from places and put them back wherever you wanted. NPCs had jobs and schedules, you could hunt for food, cook, etc… yet things haven’t progressed much from here and it was like 20 years ago the game was doing these things.

I have made apparent my issues with the port of FH4 to Series X but Panic Button have fixed a number of them. Reflections are fantastic and the texture quality seemingly better. Driver also renders at 60fps now. Much better. Thanks for putting in the work.

I never got around watching the DF video, but I recall reading here or another forum that Panic Button actually used the performance mode for that patch instead of resolution mode. Is that really what they did? Either way, it’s great to read that they are improving it. The game, Playground really deserve that.

inXile making a AAA Steampunk title would be a dream game for me. It’s wild that we may not hear any actual factual information from the studio about this game for 2 or 3 years.

I believe Panic Button is a very capable studio. They made some miraculous ports of big games to the Nintendo Switch (including Wolfenstein II and Doom Eternal). I believe the issues with the FH4 port will be addressed eventually.

Yea its insane what they been able to do with the switch hmm maybe Microsoft outta consider looking into getting them as a support studio

I would say it is very likely we will not considering the studio will have just transitioned over to the new game and is having to staff up to meet their ambition.

It’s a good job we will have plenty of RPGs to tie us over eh .

I don’t think they need to pick up a support studio, the only publisher who owns their own support studios is Ubisoft. Everyone else hires contractors.

Fuck Watchmojo sometimes. They released their Worst Games of 2020 list and put Bleeding Edge on there.

First of all, no, but it can be subjective. Still, they followed it up by saying Xbox was “forcing the team that made Hellblade to make this game” and “the game launched bare bones yet charged $60”. It was a passion project in development by Ninja Theory dating back 7 years in terms of prototyping, the Hellblade team is making Hellblade 2 or did you just forget, and they appropriately charged $30. JFC, this is the type of shit that gets peddled out that just makes MS look worse because they didn’t bother to do 3 minutes of research and read the Wikipedia page. Ridiculous.

Also, Bleeding Edge fucking rules. I’ve put over 40 hours into that game and almost 100% it (just don’t play healer enough). The fact that game made the worst of but games that reviewed far worse like the XIII remake is shocking.
