Haha, man… I didn’t know it was possible to become so frustrated by a couple of gifs.

Their present deal is 64 million pounds a year according to the internet. And they’ve already got a 70 mill deal lined up with a Chinese company starting later in the year accoring to rumours.

We just gotta wait man.

This weekend is the XboxERA podcast, where WE WERE PROMISED :fire: RUMOR MILL @Sikamikanico @Shpeshal_Nick

I just hope they’re ready for umpteen million articles that will come out of it.

Then everyone downplaying those rumors, when @Shpeshal_Nick has been proven more right then wrong recently.

The Chevrolet deal was a record deal at around ÂŁ64 million a year (including clauses) and they usually last around 5 years. I cant wait for this deal to end so we can finally get rid of the hideous Chevy logo

All the obscure bloggers out there salivating now haha.

Reddit and Twitter is quivering with…

That’s like a AAA game per year in budget lol.

I hope so, but I’d be more inclined to think it’s the enemy animation that will be seen in 3rd person. Hopefully you are right though. Much more likely to play it then.

It’s a lot but it’s one of the best ways to get eyes on your brand in Asia, in China alone there was 253 million United fans at the end of 2019 and to be fair that’s chump change for marketing for MS

I know Microsoft used to sponsor Seattle Sounders FC with Xbox (and sometimes even had the Xbox Game Pass logo), so it certainly wouldn’t be new for them. They should definitely try to do so again with a popular European sports team, it would be very beneficial.

Yeah - I’ve read this and know his history, from several different sources. There was another angle too. Although, Bethesda gave them freedom, I think the last few projects were cancelled. This might have also accelerated his burnout and eventual exit.

Just bummed that one of the creative geniuses of Arkane is not there anymore. Like you said, if he wants to remain independent and make games – more power to him!

Though, he himself knows through Arkane’s 20 year history and several cancellations including EA? (LMNO) and Valve (Ravenholm) and that indie-life is not so easy.

yeah, it’s unfortunate, but it is what it is. Some people just get burned out of AAA. Maybe Xbox could fund his next game like they’re doing with 12 Minutes, Tunic and the like? ID@Xbox is always gonna be there, so I wouldn’t worry. A lot of AAA pioneers simply don’t feel like staying at that scale, and it’s not even surprising given just how horrible the industry is when it comes to how it manages its developers. Gamepass ensures that even if Xbox funds him, they wouldn’t need to dictate the kind of game to make it sell as much as possible, instead gamepass will take care of that.

Devolver is publishing his game, I wouldn’t be that worried about cancellations haha, they’re great with their developers and have a very high success rate. Also I’m very sure Weird West will land on gamepass day 1 or sometime near to launch given his relation to xbox now through Arkane. Also immersive sims would love to get exposure to millions of people without fear of sales.

Hopefully, so. Looking forward to it.

I am starting to like Arkane a lot after going through their history.

I am not sure people understand the magnitude of this acquisition, yet. Arkane, Tango Gameworks, Machine Games might be understated gems.

These studios are gonna have a golden age this generation, I feel.

That’s the thing about the Zenimax acquisition, it gives Xbox a few studios that are either great already or could be. Bethesda are obviously the main attraction for the headlines but Arkane, id, Machine & Tango have already made great stuff & could get even better now.

Arkane are a very exciting studio, in my opinion. I love their work & look forward to seeing their first big project under Xbox.
