That’s not true. It has been long surpassed by the division series.

Besides, Call of Duty and Battlefield feel vastly different to their x360 counterparts. Heck, they feel vastly different to their early last gen versions. Playing cod ghosts and cod modern warfare is nowhere the same even though they share the same developer.

Fortnite*

*: SP is still missing. still. but it doesnt mean that one is better than the other.

I mean, it is my opinion, I am not the owner of the truth and I am not an “expert” in the field. its just a thought of a simple player who likes to have fun and discuss about the world of games. :kissing_heart:

Crackdown 3, but unfortunately the media and gamers don’t seem to care about just fun gameplay

Yep, people care more about cinematics these days, I really miss the original Xbox/PS2 and PS3/360 generation.

I like cinematic experiences but let the cinematic aspect stay gameplay… I hate high renderd cutsence without interaction in my blockbuster game.

Fully agree.

In some games (rpgs and jrpgs) it makes sense cause the gameplay does not allow this cinematic exp. but games like Gears, Halo, Call of Duty should use this only in more quiet moments… I cringed when I played the first lvl of Infinite Warfare when the wave hit and out of nowhere turned into a cgi sequence… Gears 5 has several moments where they had action in ccutscenes I do not like this…

Hahhaha Dragon Quest is a reaally strange game… the story is some of the most predictable stuff I ever saw… Heck the whole game is a bluepoint of how to not make a compelling plot but for some reason I keep playing lol

Thought Im near the end and kinda want to see how this mess ends. I make a bucket list on how the end will be hahaha

The story is this kind of bad where you keep continue just to see how bad it is xD It has it moments but this cant hide how cliche all this is hahaha

Why has this game such a high score am I too edgy to enjoy this story here?

That’s the gears style. They are not trying to be realistic, the artsyle is quite stylized/exaggerated

I always have a fundamental rule for that, the game should never take the control away from the player. The only exception I can make are RPG’s with choices and consequences, and even then you have some semblance of control in the dialogues.

Trust me you dont want to expirence any story through any JRPG in gameplay. JRPGs have some of the most non cinematic gameplay you can think of xD

I watch all cinematics of FFVII Remake on Youtube for that

FF7 remake is the exception Games like Xenoblade need cutsences otherwise it would not be possible to tell a compelling story There is a reason I dont enjoy texbased rpgs hahaha

It is about finding the right balance.

It is not possible

I like your taste but how does Read Dead 2 fit in this list?

I like that halo infinite seems to have that one shot like God of War 2018 where its a seamless transition from cutscenes to gameplay

It is a bit like the latest Doom too.
