Actually I think, if PS5 would be RDNA2 or even 3 they would shout if from all rooftops. If there’s silence, then usually there isn’t something to say.
Just like how we heard about SSDSSDSSD (It’s a nice SSD btw) and you hear about MS talking about BC BC BC yet hardly anything from Sony about it and they only talk about it when asked not willingly.
I think the difference in third party games will be smallish, will be much easier to optimize for Series X because of the difference in power but I don’t think we’ll see like 4K60 XSX and 1440p60 PS5 and if that were the case I would be shocked.
First party however is going to be the big difference though, can you just imagine what the next Gears game is going to look like using UE5 on the beast that is XSX and XB1 would be left behind by the time it’s out too.
That is true too. I mean all the preorders have happened already, so waiting to surprise everyone and say it’s 3 doesn’t make a lot of sense. But this is what one Twitter person meant when he said something about a long debated thing and that we’ll finally hear about it end of this month?
Because xbox community and fans have become obsessed with acquisitions. If you want to become popular among xbox fans just talk about acquisitions and bingo! I hope it changes to games one day.
thats the only thing I talk about :o Hope we see more from Rare soon. Once all xgs start to show their games… maaan it’s gonna be guuud
The best part is that the next naughty dog game will look slightly better but run at 30fps 1440p checkerboard and the coalitions game will be 4k 60 and look almost as good but everyone will be praising naughty dog as the
The technical exciting things for me are RayTracing, Direct Machine Learning, Auto HDR and Dolby Vision but on the software front it’s insane that all the newly aquired studios can dip into the MS pool of IP’s if they want to.
Imagine a Halo Horror-Game in the sense of Resident-Evil and Evil Wtihin made by Shinji Mikami, where the scientists create the Flood and all hell breaks loose…
The possibilities are endless.
Soooo guys, it’s Xbox Monday. Any expectations?
I hope that the 343 industries story is nothing cause I am getting ticked off by continuous commenting everywhere about getting rid of people in management.
I understand concern for a beloved franchise but it feels wrong to proclaim anyone working on it as failing. We can only judge a end product and after 7 years for both cyberpunk 2077 and last of us part 2, one is still anticipated and the other is heralded as a brilliant game.
Like, I understand if this take will earn me flack but I am working in a field where I can see how Covid is effecting so many industries and work groups. It is shithouse all around and we have people threatening harm against Bonnie Ross, Chris Lee and so many others due to a material system for armor that is not fully explained.
The frustration of this year seems to be seeping into how people engage with content and it worries me.
Gears 5 DF video soon. Cool
Yeah I bet there will be a lot of PS5 coverage. And of course games like ACV, WDL, CoD, Cyberpunk and more to cover for them. I’m guessing they will do some of the AMD show stuff too.
Precisely. I already stressed this some days ago mentioning how it has affected my work as a teacher. Imagine developing a massive game in this situation. People need to realize that games being delayed further and further through next year and beyond is a REAL possibility on any gaming platform - I am not even talking about Halo and Xbox, I am talking about any massive game of any platform.
I personally think that PS5 not being RDNA2 is like some conspiracy theory mess that people should stop repeating.
I hope that over time, your work will stabilise and that your stresses will be lesser in the future. Thank you for your work.
Thanks a lot! I am actually working fine, no stress, but the quality of the teaching-learning process isn’t the same because remote work has many limitations that can’t be properly solved by any means. That’s why I wonder how hard it is to develop a massive game on this situation. People are expecting, for instance, a game like Starfield, next Wolfenstein and so on being ready next year…we must be aware that maybe that won’t happen because of the pandemic and there’s nothing we and the studios can do. If delays happen, we must be prepared to understand these difficulties and not shit them for the delays.
Already got Celeste through GwG but a great addition nonetheless.
In case you needed more reasons to love PlayGround:
Oh yes! I’m in it for Full Throttle. Never got to play that game back in my pc gaming days. Did play and finish Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango. Awesome games. The other games look interesting too!
