Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

I think Towerborne gets released first in 2024. Avowed second in late June, Flight Simulator 2024 in August and Hellblade 2 in late September. Second week of November would be COD. December Diablo IV expansion. Starfield expansion maybe July?

I don’t think any remaster gets released in 2024 and im still waiting to see Contraband so I’ll say 2025 at the earliest.

Your forecasts look good to me. I’d just swap Avowed and Hellblade 2, as the latter seems closer to the end of its development. And I’d add Ara History Untold for the first half of the year (on PC)… and Forza Horizon 6 for the second.

Fable in 2025.

True but one could argue that IGN could be using the reach of this game to garner a larger audience especially through word of mouth. Look at how Gamespot kept tweeting that they had given Starfield a 7 over and over. I know it will ultimately fail though.

I’m of the opinion that Xbox/Bethesda/ABK will release at least 8 games next year.

Do you think they could ever get to 1 every month?

Although their target was 1 per quarter it would be mind blowing if they can.

With Xbox Publishing and smaller teams on all their studious making non AAA games. I can definitely see Xbox releasing 4-5 AAAs a year with 7-8 smaller titles in between. That of course won’t account for GaaS getting their own updates.

What gave the impression of Fable coming in 2024?

I think there was none.

Outside of the recent MW1 theyve all been forgettable campaigns since blops 2. This one looks like its the first genuine trash one. Although id argue ghosts was trash too.

That’s some reductionist BS if I’ve ever seen any… we literally just had Klondike highlighting Infinite Warfare as one of CoD’s greatest campaigns by CoD players (which is well after BLOPS 2, if you need a reminder).

People need to learn to differentiate what they like from “this game is bad” critiques… because those are more often-than-not, mutually exclusive.

Not bad Xbox, not bad… :eyes:

Very much disagree with this. Infinite Warfare was one of the best of the series, and Cold War, Vanguard, WW2 and MW2019 were decent too.

The fact that they showed it this summer. I think they held off on giving a window because they learned their lesson from Starfield and Forza slipping, so they want to be sure before they publicly announce a window/date. But I do think Fall 2024 was the target when they showed it. Spring 2025 at the absolute latest.

If it was coming later than Spring 2025, they wouldn’t have showed it this summer. They would have waited until it was closer. They didn’t, so I think it’s 12-18 months away now.

Regardless, I do believe there are at least 1-2 more AAA games (non-ABK) coming in 2024 in addition to what we already know, and Fable is one of the more likely candidates.

Fable is a 2025 game in my book. Didn’t they recently as per the end of last year or beginning of this go into alpha phase? If so we can safely take two+ years of post alpha development into consideration, which leaves us squarely in 2025. Would be happy to be wrong though.

As for showing the game, they showed us Hellblade 2 gameplay at TGA 2021 and that sure didn’t release 12-18 months after the showing.

Found a loophole. Well played.

Yeah, 2025 is certainly possible/likely. I just think the target was Fall 2024 when they showed it. But certainly not any later than 2025.

Having any expectation of Fable in 2024 will lead to disappointment. They clearly told you which games at the Showcase are 2024 games. The rest, including Fable, will be 2025 or with any delay to 2026.

Clockwork Revolution seems though to be a 2026 game as there one more thing.

Watched a video by Gameranx about ten games that respected the player. As in how RDR2 often has different dialogue when you choose to do something that can be done in several ways or like Dishonored with the many different ways of taking on your main objective. Prey was in there too.

Let us please go back to that Arkane. I forgot how many options Dishonored indeed offered, and Prey still has stuff I never tried out. Genuinely hope Jason was exeggerating when he talked about how many people left Redfall’s team. I miss these games a lot. And I get that the devs might have lost interest in making these games because of the not super great sales when these games released, but Game Pass exists now. Huge difference.

Matt Booty also said in the GB interview that just because a trailer doesn’t have 2024 on it doesn’t mean it isn’t necessarily 2024.

Like I said, it might not be Fable and that’s fair, but I do think there’s 1-2 more AAA games coming in 2024 beyond what we already know.

The dates for Hellblade and/or Avowed will shed more light on things.
