What did he say?

I also think TGAs this year is possible for Indy.

Obviously things can change and maybe Todd was just speaking off the cuff, but I do think Indy is pretty close to reveal.

Oh let’s goooo.

We might not he in the Hindle timeline with this game.

After last year I just assume they will be a no show at TGAs and be pleasantly surprised otherwise.

I thought Matt Booty said they would be there? I can’t remember but I thought he did.

If they aren’t there again, they should say so ahead of time and announce the January DD early to shut people up.

Do you think studios are already working with Sebille (new controller with haptics) prototypes?

God I hope so

Maybe so, I might have missed it?

I think it was the Giant Bomb interview during SGF. It was also where they said there were more games for 2024 we don’t know about, and that the trailers not saying 2024 doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t 2024.

True, but I am a sucker for old MW maps, so I am probably going to split with my gameshare pal. I am happy I won’t ever have to buy a COD game again

Now that you mention it, was this the same interview where he mentioned all the other shows they would be at? Like Gamescom, and a few others? I recall this as well.

If it’s at TGA I do hope it shows something from the game. Not another CG trailer. But I guess it’s possible they might do that and a proper first look at it next June. Do we know how long it’s been in active development now?

We know that pre-Covid they thought it was a 2022 game, so I do think it’s potentially in the cards for 2024.

I really think Xbox are done showing CGI trailers, especially for games already announced. There’s just no need for it anymore. South of Midnight and Clockwork Rev prove it. The only exception would be something like New Vegas 2 where I think there’s value in confirming it’s happening even if it’s 5 years away.

Indy has been in development at minimum for almost 3 years, but that assumes it started the day they announced it (January 2021) and I really do think it was in the works for at least a year or so before that (Youngblood was July 2019).

3-4 years is a safe bet, with 1-2 years to go. I don’t think it’s a project that will go on and on for years and years.

pretty sure the only thing he confirmed from that Giant Bomb interview was that Perfect Dark will get a proper reveal next year.

As yes, South of Midnight. Even though we didn’t see gameplay, that was in engine, right? Very cool, unique style. Looking forward to seeing that next June.

I don’t mind CGI if you’re set to advertise for people to join in. Other than that, well, maybe mix of two will be acceptable enough for many.

And State of Decay. He heavily implied that both PD and SoD will be shown next year and come out in 2025.

He did say plenty of other things too.

I thought I read somewhere that it was hinted that Indiana Jones may be coming out next year. I cant find it anymore, but it would certainly align very well with this chart and the delay periods we have seen so far:

Todd implied it will be shown next year. It might release next year too but I think 2025 is a safer bet.

None of the games on the roadmap including Starfield receieved more than a 2 year year delay. Id be kind of surprised if the only game that did was the single player linear game.
