My bet is Odyssey and other big multiplayer games will be multiplatform.

All ABK will be Xbox exclusive. Sans CoD. This is all that was offered. Its all they’ll get.

They have. They’ve been openly. recruiting for Odyssey for nearly 2 years now.
No platforms ever given. For obvious reasons. It’s up to Xbox. And one thing thats never been offered is new IP.

Maybe it’s just me, but I got a funny feeling if any of them mentioned the buyout by Xbox, they will get some jeers. Maybe E3 2013 and EVO 2013 got to me. True, this year’s showcase had opposite effect, including bash PS, so who knows. It’s just this is the place that is infamous for “Late April’s Fool” moment.

Ah, okay. Weird that they put Psychonauts as an example. It’s not exclusive because of the crowdfunding campaign.
I know it’s about the value, but still weird.
They could’ve made it exclusive if they really wanted, it would’ve just looked bad. I remember Sony actually made a game exclusive that was previously crowdfunded and multiplat, I can’t recall the title right now.
Tbh they already kinda contradicted that slide by making HFR exclusive. I wouldn’t read much into it.

Your scenario makes a lot of sense and I think is the most likely one.
However, if they are serious about it, they should’ve canceled the ps version the day they acquired abk.

I feel blizzard live service games fall into that category . Like I don’t think it’s wise to break up community of overwatch and even diablo . However, something like wow doesn’t have one, so it might be no harm making that exclusive but I don’t think that’s wise imo due to how much revenue that game generates
I don’t think WoW will ever come to console. I mean, is it even possible to raid without addons ?

I wonder if Phil or Sarah will be at the show and present along with the developers on the stand. They should do what they did with Starfield show in 2021: end the trailer with the banner “Xbox Exclusive.”
Literally what I was about to say; this slide was an abstraction used for a court case, but there are literally counterexamples to just about every point they’ve made on that slide: a new IP could be easily argued to be a safer bet across all platforms (but all of us know that first-party titles have almost always stayed exclusive… until Xbox started the trend of exceptions), and plenty of MMOs weren’t released on anything but Sony so…
