Xbox are going to release some beautiful games with all these UE5 titles.

Please be 60fps or offer a performance mode. I used to be ok’ish with 30fps but with all that 60fps goodness since launch and now also games such as Starfield having received it…I hope Avowed too.

A 40fps option is very welcome too.

Game looked really good graphically at the DD, its the animations/combat jank that felt a bit off so if they can sort that, I’m good

Okay, I think I’ll chip in.

Very excited for new Doom.

Medieval Doom gameplay with crazy melee weapons would be crazy fun.

Eh, this isn’t too impressive. Unreal is in version 5.4 and that’s the version with the CPU utilization improvements.

Being helped by The Coalition is basically having the latest one. They’re wizards for a reason.

Good to have confirmation, it looked like it had last showcase (nanite, lumen).

Hellblade was very possibly not even on the full 5.3 featureset. I wouldn’t be worried about not being on 5.4

Given that Epic release new version of unreal every year, having the game on the latest version is unreasonable.

This way the game will never come out of development cycle.

Most games using UE releasing this year are on version 5.3, that particular part of his tweet really isn’t impressive.

Not sure I’ve seen these Avowed screenshots before.

These look like (rather low) screen grabs from the showcase / extended showcase.

From last year? But these seem from after the graphics bump that we saw earlier this year.

From the Developer Direct this year/ the extended Q&A with Obsidian as part of Dev Direct.

yeah it got a nice graphical bump at the Dev Direct. I think that is when people were, ‘Oh, this looks like UE5-type stuff’ (nanite). But weren’t 100% sure etc

Honestly I think the 2023 trailer for Avowed looked almost as good as what we saw earlier this year, the only real issue was the color grading was crap for the trailer.
