I get that. It’s also possible some fix up work could be contracted out by Xbox if there are plans to do some of the more involved stuff. I feel like they probably had in mind to have a group doing work on it for at least 6 months or so and maybe they bumped that up by another few months if they thought they could tackle a few more issues. Chances are we won’t really know until it actually is done though.
For whatever reason Microsoft is not listed in the TGS exhibitor list, but is part of their program.
Well, its more likely going to be a showcase of sorts kinda like last year. As for exhibitor, i do not remember if they did something like that on the last few years.
I think we will be receiving some news about news game reaching the platform with some new regarding game ports and brand new games, since i think the time is now do make that a thing, especially at TGS. Am hoping we get ports of several franchises, Octopath Traveler 2, Ys, Mana and Shin Megami Tensei i think being very likely. Do not have faith in Atelier unfortunatly but we will see.
Maybe some should look at this update as a learning experience for the development team, so all the lessons learned from improving Redfall’s engine can and will be used directly on their next game. They can either figure things out in R&D for the next game but not have hard field evidence their changes actually making a difference, or they can do those changes for Redfall and get actual feedback and statistics about it. Fixing up Redfall will have positive impacts on their next game.
It is being a hard day at work after 3 days of little sleep.
As you mentioned, Arkane have largely moved on and Roundhouse will handle the development. Also, there are plenty of other games on the way, we’re not exactly chomping at the bit for 1st.party releases anymore.
Halo is climbing higher in top most played, now sitting at #22. Was at #27. Not bad for a dead game.
I don’t think the part of the team in pre-production for their next game are the roles needed to fix Redfall. At the start of the project you need designers, concept artists and the like. For updates and dlc in Redfall they need testers, programmers and artists. Should work out.
Husky Raid is incredibly addictive
Absolutely infuriating at times but addictive
got me playing halo for long sessions
Microsoft was on the exhibitor list last year.
I love the chaos of it all though, was my most played mode in H5 and will be in this too. But yeah on occasion you’ll get put with a team that’s just…I dunno maybe it’s their first time in this mode or something.
Now I have seen everything.
lets gooooo!
Minecraft has a big audience in Japan. It could get announced during TGS.
That will be a smart move.
most of the studio was not hoping the game was cancelled.
Tbh, no matter how many that is still crazy.
For the record I enjoyed Redfall and put 50 hours in it, would give it a 7/10.
Matches either are completely one sided and end in a minute or 2 or you get the sweatiest down to the last minute games ever
Some of the most intense infinite matches iv played have been in this mode but yeah, iv come across people that just do not know how to use the equipment to their advantage
I don’t know how many didn’t actually want to work on it but that’s most certainly what the finished product felt like
Prey felt like an absolute labor of love with every piece of it carefully crafted
Redfall…not so much, honestly the contrast between the two is one of the biggest iv ever seen for any developer
