I suppose they could always outsource it to ZA/UM or Owlcat if InXile are busy too. In the past I would’ve said Larian too but after the success of BG3 I feel that’s unlikely.

Microsoft definitely announced games too early back in 2020 but they had to because they had to show people that they had studios and games in development going into what is now the current generation. No issue with this. I just want updates every other year to know their progress and how far out they still are.
Sony cancelled how many games over the last year? 6? You believe these projects were meeting their milestones? Do you also believe Sony executives planned, idk, 3 years ago not to release any big titles this fiscal year and their release calendar is all according to keikaku?
Switch is very limiting as a hardware, only somewhat more powerful than PS360, when most games took up to 3 years to develop. No wonder Nintendo has a more reliable release schedule, but then again you have cases like Bayonetta 3 which saw multiple delays or
Game development is just really difficult, there are many unforeseen complexities and the initial deadlines are best case scenarios/pipe dreams that are not probable.

They’ve got their hands full with Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2. Not being facetious when I say I wouldn’t expect a new Fallout game that isn’t a remake or a remaster until 2030.
If it’s Bethesda it’ll probably even be like 2033 lol, crazy to think about.
I think for sure, Elder Scrolls 6 will have a shorter dev time than Starfield due to (literally) reduced scope.

That’s actually insane that they get longer periods of double XP. I think Microsoft said they’re going to make sure there’s parity regarding stuff like this

I saw a Fallout mod on Project Zomboid and it’s Incredible what could be cool is if Undead Labs and Bethesda did a State of Decay 3 x Fallout collab with Fallout skins, shelters etc… we could get a super interesting Fallout Survival experience.
