At the time of this interview, Redfall was slated for March. Now it is apparently slated for May. We don’t know if anything else was slated to hit in that 6 week window before the first and next game.

Picture a scenario where Todd walks up to Phil, says that his game is done, but then Phil says Redfall has to release first because…reasons. Nah. At this point we can only guess and this rumored Q1 show should make everything clear. Let’s especially hope no other additional negative rumors appear. I mean last week most of us didn’t care because it was some nobody source, until Klobrille said it too. A week or two ago we had someone here claiming the same stuff about Starfield, but so far, thank god actual good sources have not mentioned this at all so far.

I’m definitely interested in what Microsoft’s first party studios has to offer but I wouldn’t sacrifice the 8+ games I have just for 1 game. No way.

Now to find out about the rest, who knows, maybe Starfield was planned for May and it could be earlier now. Guess I’m being optimistic here and I’ll make sure to keep my expectations low, but it’s possible.
I guess it’s a good thing we haven’t heard about any delays yet. It has been a while that we got some MS leaks, but it seems the ship is kinda leaking again.
Eventually I will get to those other games, but I’m a die hard BGS fan. A new game by them? I’m there day one and won’t be playing anything else for a looooong ass time, haha.

Yes I did. As mentioned there should be at least 9 big scope games to maintain a constant stream of permanent gamepass games and exclusive content.
Xbox is pursuing less timed exclusives and trying to deliver more permanent content to gamepass. As a result publishing should be funding projects at an incredible rate. Xbox should be looking to publishing as there 2nd preferred way to do business, trying to essentially publish everything they possibly can that will add diversity and quality to gamepass.

Now rumors say it would release in May. Matt is on record saying it would release before Starfield. If both things happen, Starfield is a June or later game.
The same source that said May said it was delayed from March. At the time of the interview, anything past March would have been after Redfall.

FWIW, I know we want these games as soon as possible but I think people will calm down some as long as there are dates. I think it’s the unknown that is driving folks crazy lol.
With a date I suppose you can at least deal with it and wait with an ending point.

We really dont know how long Starfield needed to be delayed for so its funny to people just assume it needs more time for unknown reasons.

This would be great for everyone involved. GSC would get tremendous security and potential both now and post-war. MS and Xbox invest in a Ukrainian studio, the PR boost from that would be enormous. We would get super cool games guaranteed into Game Pass.

Although I fully understand why, it’s a shame that Perfect Dark won’t make it for 2023. Having the series revival released the same year the original game took place in would have been ahem perfect.
True and I love it! However people aren’t going to give Xbox any credit if Redfall and Starfield are good.

And the voices in my head tells me there will be 2 more games after that, a smaller scale one and a “big” one. Hope they are rigth :3

Honestly, this is great news for me personally. The first three months of 2023 are stacked for me while for April and May, I only have Dead Island 2 and Suicide Squad, both of which are 50/50. Redfall being perhaps May 5th would be fine by me.
Going with Forza Motorsport in September and Starfield in November with the smaller games being spread out throughout the year. I think Minecraft Legends could be July.
Showcase wise, im expecting February. Early Access for Redfall, im expecting that to mean if you buy the ultimate edition or whatever, you’ll get 3 days early access or something like FH 5.
I can’t even imagine every game except one not meeting its release window.

How come no one ever mentions that Age Of Empire 2 DE is coming out next month? Sure its just a Xbox port but shouldn’t that count for something?
