Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

I’m expecting Diablo IV release date and pre-orders to go live as well as the same for Redfall. So it would make sense to have the $70 price tag already out there so when you see these games listed as $70, it’s not a total shock or surprise.

Now that I think about it, it was a bit random of them to announce it in IGN, rather than wait for a game to show the price increase. They just say it as if to say, “Pre-order is about to open, but I should warn you, the price has increased.”

I really don’t understand the big issue around the $70 games, we all knew it was coming.

They are buying the biggest independent game publisher who already sells their games at $70. What are Xbox going to do, say their other teams games are only worth $60? Or big picture are they going to say their games aren’t as valuable as Sony or the other publishers?

Ultimately it doesn’t impact me anyway as they are all on GamePass so as long as that stays affordable it doesn’t matter to me.

Unfortunately it’s the way of the world at the moment, everything is going up in price.

Alright. Anyone think we’ll get new 1st or 2nd party games announced at TGAs?

I wouldn’t say I have no issue, rather come to acceptance that this is the way it is. I respect the heads-up and honesty from Phil about the price increase. I also respect that they didn’t belittle the competitor for increasing the price, only to land them hypocrisy.

There is no issue it is just because Microsoft did that people are trying to blow it out of proportion.

The irony is that Phil warned about price increase in advance.

$70 for games is fine, so long as games go on sale.

Yeah $70 games don’t matter to me much personally, as my rule is wait for a sale (max $50).

I expect Diablo 4, Redfall and Starfield at best.

Naa, probably trailers for announced stuff.

Absolutely it’s very rare I ever buy a game full price, even for the franchises I love I usually wait for the initial reviews as I have been stung before!

I’m always on a minimum of a 4-6 month backlog of games anyway. By the time I get to it they are usually half price.

Last game I bought full price was 2042 :frowning:

We’ve all been there!

Mine was Vanguard, only to play before Halo Infinite so I can be like “Ah this gameplay is too good to go elsewhere.” I thought of 2042 but the bugs scared me away. So yeah…

I bought CP2077

I spent $40 on Cyberpunk once they dropped the next gen update, and I was happy with that, but definitely didn’t find it $70 good.

I like cyberpunk but so much is missing for me. Police for start. I could have sworn they advertised you could join gangs like factions in the marketing.

The world npc routines are lacking. I prefer the less but more dynamic npcs of Bethesda games.

Things over 343 seems to have a stronger morale to drop this surprise update.
