Yes, but one thing we need to keep in mind is that in techs infinite growth plans, laying off people is part of it. So we shouldn’t be surprise if people lose their jobs later this month, what Jez is saying is that at least he heard that Xbox wasn’t part of it.
Microsoft’s communication head, though is harder to believe, because he could just be refuting the amount of people or that Xbox or Azure are part of it. He keeps it vague enough that we don’t really know, but that at least the rumor going around is considered an issue that Microsoft needs to answer to.
