Done and thanks my friend!

But you’re literally not saying anything new. The former dev said this and we had Jeff Grubb saying the flying was busted. So yeah, obviously it isn’t working really great now. I just don’t see the point at all to bring this up again as if it’s some brand new breaking news. It was delayed for a reason.

So do we think there will be an ID@Xbox segment to the show?

2014 to 2019 there was (not sure about prior to that) and you could make a case that the first show in 2019 was more aimed at indie and indie-ish games with a couple of exceptions, but there wasn’t the normal id montages either in 2020 or 2021. It’s possible that the twitch indie shows they’ve done a couple times in the last year or so are to make up for this, but part of me really hopes for a couple of minutes of indie as a hype session for the diversity of what all is coming.

What do you think? ID segment during the show?

  • Yup, and I’m happy about that!
  • Nope, and I’m happy about that too!
  • I wish, but probably not
  • Probably but I wish they wouldn’t

For Real

Sorry, realized I screwed up the options so reset it

If that guy is legit, I see nothing really bad standing out here at all. It does feel like a Bethesda game, well…real shit? Come on, lol. I do expect significantly better animations with them using a brand new system for that, but it feeling and looking like a Bethesda game sounds exactly what I’d expect.

More than a year to release, well yeah, if it were to release in June next year, which is of course a possibility. The bit about graphics sounds good to me.

But the real question is, is the dude legit at all? Anyone can claim to have seen shit.

Idk, I thought they implemented the indies really well last year. The montrages always felt a little too rushed imo. Highlighting select few indies works a little better I think.

A trailer showing everything that is coming is fine, but I hope it’s not a seperate segment that takes up several minutes, it’s just not needed when a trailer can show all that is coming. Plus they can and will have those seperate streams for it yeah.

I think the indie games are better served to be shown separately like any other game, sprinkled between the big ones. The very small stuff can be shown at those Twitch shows.

Yeah… is that supposed to be a negative? lol

Hm… What about a minute or so that shows 2 indies between each showing of a larger game?

I kind of like the idea of the indie shows, but at the same time they almost make it harder for them to get the number of eyes that they would otherwise. Cuphead, Tunic, 12 minutes, probably a ton more would never have been as big if it hadn’t been at E3

You wrote that Starfield was in development hell. A couple of weeks after a confirmed employee stated that it’s coming together nicely.

A mechanic not immediately working isn’t a big deal.

All in all it was a lot of information we already had, but over the top and hyperbolic presented.

Seems like you have no clue about game development in general. You just didn’t add anything of worth to the discussion.

I had read an article somewhere (I don’t remember if it was posted on XboxEra or somewhere else) where an indie dev talked about how happy they were that Phil talked about their game like it was a big release. I think it was a game shown at E3 but I think they should just keep doing what they’re doing. They won’t be able to fit every indie game into the show, but as long as they show off the indies they want to highlight while treating them like any other big game I think is something smaller indie studios would appreciate. Im sure Xbox wants these devs to feel proud about their games being shown at E3, and by giving them good screen time at E3 it would make them feel welcomed on the platform.

I think I just read an interview with the person who did Tunic that said something to that effect. Good point.
