What are you even talking about with this nonsense? Game Pass investment hasn’t decreased… that’s a verifiably-false statement, both in the offerings provided through the service (both from 1st and 3rd party, which directly implicates a greater investment) and the fact that subscribers have increased (thus furthering need to invest). Also, leave the pejoratives at the door, only warning.
Lol.. first time I’ve logged into X in ages and the first thing I see is:

If Microsoft is looking to acquire a Japanese publisher next Bandai Namco would also be a good pick up.
The issue with Bandai Namco is their bloat. This is the case for a lot of Japanese publishers but is the worst with Bandai Namco, Konami and KADOKAWA. They are not just gaming companies, in the case of Bandai Namco Microsoft would acquire a bunch of liabilities like namcos toy, anime, manga, music, amusment, movie, ect. Divisions. And those divisions also bolster Namcos value, Namco has some very good stuff (Pacman, TEKKEN, Tales of ect.) But their gaming divisions isn’t worth 21 billion + premium.
Its the same issue Microsoft described about SEGA when they knew they would have to buy the entirity of Sammy SEGA as that would require them to also pick up a bunch of liabilities but to less of an exteme as SEGA gaming division is the biggest segement of the company and easier to devide from the rest of the stuff for Microsoft to either spin off or sell off Sammy, not to mention SEGA is only worth about 4 billion + premium so like 5 times cheaper
Yall can get mad at me. But the Activision acquisition was one of the worst things that could happen to Xbox fans.
Yea I dont know why people keep hyping up acquisitions when there is a strong chance Xbox is going third party…
Exactly in what way, what are your reasons for thinking so?
It is the worst thing to happen to Xbox full stop !
I too, used to want and hope Xbox would buy SEGA. Now I hope Xbox goes nowhere near SEGA Japan and leaves well alone. It’s clear after what Xbox did to Yukio Futatsugi Xbox Japan studio and now Tango Works, Xbox hasn’t the 1st clue on how to run and manage Japanese studios
It would have been better for all if Xbox had bought Ubisoft instead of ABK. Still, the shareholders are happy I guess…
To be fair they are already essentially the same as EA, Ubisoft and other third party publishers:
- You can purchase games directly from their store e.g. Ubisoft Store / EA app.
- You can play their games via a subscription service (EA Play and Ubisoft+).
- You can purchase and play their games on other stores (PS/Nintendo/Steam).
Literally the only defining factor is hardware which I think is guaranteed until at least 2030. I’m still 50/50 on whether they will drop hardware altogether. Steam clearly thinks it’s viable to make handhelds so maybe…
Even if they were to drop hardware I don’t think it’s necessarily a ‘bad’ thing. GamePass would likely become available in even more places.
More acquisitions just means we get even more content in GamePass which again is not a bad thing, if you like GamePass it’s definitely something to be ‘hyped’ about.
Why? You don’t like having cod on gamepass? You miss when ps got everything for it early? You don’t like Diablo and Tony hawk on gamepass?
Don’t feed the troll. Pretty sure we’re going to need to revisit the annual drive by users…
Just why is it trolling when even big die hard Xbox fans are worried that Xbox will do a SEGA and ditch the console hardware game .
It’s a concern that a lot of Xbox console fans have
The next round of hardware is coming. We know there’s a handheld and a PC/console hybrid. If next gen consoles launch in 2027-2028 you’re talking about Xbox in the hardware game through at least 2035. That’s 10 years from now. What are you worried about today and in the near term?
literally no fans are worried about that
What’s wrong with third party. The reason this industry still exists rest entirely on third party. I think you should focus more on the benefits as a customer and not a fan.
