Unfortunately spiders got ate up by Nacon
Respawn for that price is a legitimate crime.
Them and Insomniac deserved a bigger bag.
yup, really sad
Are all of those are acquisitions? I thought some where solely investments for minor percentage of the company. There’s been so many by Embracer/Tencent I can’t keep track.
In retrospect yeah but at that time nah I believe. Properly priced
According to the list all are acquisitions. But I didn’t check every single one.
I don’t know, Aspyr and Respawn for the same money?
Just goes to show how much the market has changed in 4 years.
Highly doubt that Microsoft makes another big move unless its a defenseive one.
I summon Phil Spencer in attack mode!
Then I’ll put two acquisitions face down and end my turn.
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get someone like Asobo I guess or a gaming tech company but something sizeable, no way.
Be careful, dont want the regulators to hit you with a mystical space typhoon
I was thinking Asobo as well Ninja Theory 2.0.
They really gonna get me for the Harpie’s Feather Duster?
That’s it, we calling in Todd Howard and I’ll use his special effect “It Just Works” on Atlus.
I think that’s very unlikely. They want to become the standard in the gaming subscription space. Microsoft can take a look at Netflix and basically have a playbook to go by. And one of the biggest problems for Netflix is getting enough content to grow further.
If they want to avoid the problem, the next 5 years are very essential for Microsoft.
Could take some time for sure, but at the end every time the people saying that were proven wrong.
I think by the launch of the next Xbox they’ll have
Bungie, Wbie, Sega, Asobo, IOI, Capcom All under their roof. Their budget is sky high right now and they want to make sure they have all their bases covered when they need support or funding new IP.
Yeah, I doubt that would get past regulators
Its going to be either Sega, or Capcom. Not both
The best defense is a strong offense.
Capcom’s doing as strong as ever (which is probably where all this desire is coming from) and are probably no longer looking to sell. Should have gotten em when they were in a bad way 8 years ago.
Sega’s doing okay I think. I know they had to close their arcades.
I think one of the things people are skipping past is the numerous times Phil has expressed wanting studios in developing markets. These could be easy purchases now that wouldn’t raise any alarm bells with regulators.
